The very fact that he has reached the place he has today is because of his character, not his skin. Racism is alive and well in the United States and a black man must show a high level of character in order to ascend to the presidency. We require more from black males than from white males. I believe that Obama wants to see this country become what our forefathers wanted it to be and that is a place where all humans are created equal and have the right to pursue life, liberty and happiness.
