Zimbabwe Is, Like, So Gay
 
 

Robert Mugabe wants to world to think that Zimbabwe has no gays. Canadian professor Marc Epprecht and his "Gay Rural History Project" say otherwise. Not only are there gays in Zim, but they've been around far longer than colonial influence.

Well, guess what ? Mugabe is a devote Chirstian, brought up in Catholic schools. Just like our battery of bigots; It should be really pretty clear, that after our object lesson from Hitler, that it pays to have underdogs, especially if you're trying to get a bunch of rednecks feeling better about the shitty deal they have, it's part and parcel of the politics of fear. As sophisticated as we think that we are,
which we're not at all, were as primitive as third world dumps. For queers it's a shooting gallery every day!
