You probably have seen the half-naked pictures of the soldier-turned-model floating around the internet. Now itâs time to get to know your latest man-crush.
1. Alex is a former marine who lost his right leg in Afghanistan after his truck ran over an explosive. According to GuySpy, the soldier spent â58 days in a coma, then was in active duty while in a San Diego hospital for 17 months before being honorably discharged.â

2. Following the accident, Alex sobered up. (Which is partly responsible for his workout habits and stacked body.)
(Image: Facebook)
3. He was discovered at a local Los Angeles gym while he was working out. âI go to the gym twice a day, Iâm very healthy,â he told GuySpy. âThe first photographer approached me as I was leaving the place. At first I thought it was just another gay guy hitting on me.â
(Image: Facebook)
4. Alex hasnât always had a beard or have been covered in tattoos. He recently posted a pic of himself at the age of 20 with the caption: âA young strapping marine in Hawaii with his friends with the whole world ahead of him. Tattooless. Disgusting :Dâ
(Image: Facebook)
5. Not only is he covered in tattoos now, he has an armpit tatt.
(Image: Facebook)
6. He has become a muse for photographers, Tom Cullis and Michael Stokes.
(Image: Tom Cullis)
7. Alex photos are so hot, theyâve been pulled from Facebook. A shot Michael Stokes took of Alex (seen below) was pulled from the social network when it was deemed that it violated the nudity rules.

8. Heâs a musician on the side. According to Facebook, playing the guitar is a hobby of his. (Check him out here.)
(Image: Meredith Carlson)
9. His modeling stats: Height: 5Ⲡ10âł; Weight: 165 lbs; Waist: 32âł; Shoe: 10.5. Also follow him on Facebook and Twitter.
(Image: Eric Schwabel)
10. Heâs a mommaâs boy. He constantly posts about her on his Facebook page. đ

Bonus: His bulge isnât the only thing worth talking about.Â

Is paraplegic the right term? Paraplegia means you can’t move your lower body. He can move his prosthetic leg and other leg just fine. Shouldn’t you say ‘amputee’? Anyhow…picture #4 looks a little “pre-date rape”-y to me.
Stacy Lambe
@Adam: thanks i meant to fix that. you’re totally right!
MikeE
he’s not “a a musician”.
he plays guitar “a bit”.
you wouldn’t call someone who puts a band-aid on “a doctor” would you?
he has a beautiful face, and he obviously works out A LOT.
but this is too many tattoos for me. it gets to a point where it simply isn’t attractive anymore. anyway, for me, that is.
so is he gay or what? why is this “news” on Queerty?
reading the article, all I get is the impression that he gets hit on by gay guys, otherwise, nothing. Which is it?
stfallon1028
No doubt about it…he’s a babe
Dresden
@MikeE: On the contrary, he is a musician. All one needs to do is play an instrument in order to be a musician. He may only be an amateur musician, but that doesn’t make him any less one.
MikeE
@Dresden: right, then next time you put a band-aid on someone, you can add the .MD to your name. idiot.
Farben
Definite babe. And way to turn a lit. crippling adversity into something positive.
Farben
Oh and @MikeE
Definition of musician / noun
a person who plays a musical instrument, especially as a profession, or is musically talented.
â Oxford Dictionary
Dresden
@Farben: I thought about pulling out the definition and pointing out how MikeE’s doctor analogy doesn’t work, but then I decided against it. If calling someone an idiot for saying he is wrong about some inconsequential comment makes him feel better about himself, who am I to take away what little snippet of pleasure he gets from his obviously, otherwise miserable life?
mlbumiller
@MikeE: A musician is a person who plays a musical instrument, especially (although not necessarily) as a profession, or is musically talented.[1] Musicians can be classified by their roles in performing music and writing music. A person who makes music a profession, anyone (professional or not) who is skilled in making music or performing music creatively, or one who composes, conducts, or performs music (especially instrumental music) can be called a musician.

This guy’s body is hot, but it’s covered with strange marks.
miagoodguy
tattoos = unattractive (especially as many as he has)
redcarpet
Speak for yourself miagoodguy. Tatoos can be freaking hot. As long as they are not on the nether bits (I find dick tatoos and peircings a huge turn off)
He’s not gay right? Cuz god forbid I be attracted to an actual gay man for a change.
beecherman
Wow…talk about internal conflict! He claims he works out twice a day, yet appears determined to permanently alter every inch of his skin with tattoos so that it is painful and uncomfortable to view. Perhaps to distract the viewer from his ‘blade’? I find tattoos so external, and superficial. A weak attempt at conveying ‘toughness’ and ‘strength’ which clearly doesn’t exist.
People who truly like themselves and want others to like them for who they are do not constantly try to change their appearance as Alex does. How tragic…
hamoboy
@MikeE: Seriously? So being a musician is exactly as demanding and regulated as being a doctor? Fuck you.
B Damion
He’s handsome. Thats all I have.
Sebizzar
@beecherman:
Wow… guess I’m the only guy here so far that LOVES his tattoos! Painful and uncomfortable to view? Really? It’s freaking hott! I’d date him in a heartbeat, won’t even care about a missing leg, he seems like a very loveable guy. Tattoos are art, body art, it isn’t the ’50s anymore where you only get one to show toughness.
Raquel Santiago
@Adam: I see where you are coming from so no worries. It depends on the person, always better to ask, some prefer disabled, some dont prefer that term, NEVER use the term crip its offensve. Some will approve of different terminology others will not, it just depends. However, paraplegic usually refers to a person who has lost both legs not just 1.
John
@beecherman: Beecherman you are projecting a lot onto a pic. There are many reasons one would tattoo ones self. Who knows what Alex is or isn’t working out psychologically unless you’re his therapist.
Jinju
@beecherman: Uhhh…I have tattoos, and it’s not because I have some internal conflict/hate myself/seek to hide something. It’s for several reasons. I’m in the Navy and some of my tattoos tell a story; I love art and see tattooing (well, talented tattooing) as an art form, and my skin the canvas; I just like it/want it. It’s really weird to me how judgmental people can be about something that has no effect on them, assuming things about a person’s psyche and self-confidence…just strange.
hippie61
Marines are not soldiers. Soldier refers to the army. Marines are marines.
besixdouze
“Just another gay guy hitting on me.” I can appreciate attractive men but when it comes to arrogance and condescending bits like this I’m out.
londonlad
though he has posted nude photos to tumblr – so he knows his core audience at least. davidanddrew is the site.
damion8040
Oh MikeE… please shut your craphole that is your mouth! What an asinine thing to say. I Suggest you think next time before that hole opens.
jimmyx75
Don’t like tattoo’s? Don’t get one! Would you rather we all look alike? I Love hot dudes with ink. you can hit on the other dudes! It would be very boring if we all likes the same dudes. YOU with your attitude would probably be home masturbating and complaining by yourself! I hope someday you might be happy!
jimmyx75
@MikeE: or an LPN, or a Mother or a father? fool!
imperator
@MikeE: A “musician” is one who makes music. Amateur or professional, hobbyist or career, talented or not, if one has cultivated any skill and has any commitment to the art, “musician” is an appropriate term.
A doctor is one who has specifically earned a doctorate, and an M.D. must possess a medical doctorate; applying a band-aid doesn’t meet the prerequisite.
They’re totally different, so not only have you chosen a pedantic argument, but you’re not even making it very well.
imperator
@beecherman: If you think getting a tattoo is all about fronting ‘toughness’ then you need to recuse yourself from the conversation, because you don’t know what you’re talking about. People get tattoos for a variety of reasons but they’re *usually* about expressing something of personal meaning. My own (two) convey my deep rooted concern for justice and reason, for mindful self-creation, and love for the people close to me. I don’t care if people think they say something about pain or toughness because that’s nowhere near ‘the point’ of them– though if I ever go ahead and get the one of a little red handprint on my ass, that *might* meet your simplistic expectation.
But seriously, you might want to give some thought to this priggish, puritan contempt you exhibit for other’s body-sovereignty.

Why
Geenahgee
Alex, can be my Son. My son is also 24. I’d love to be his Mommy. đ On the serious side he’s a beautiful man with a powerful message. Never give up. He deserves all that he is receiving. He gave so much for us Americans. God, bless him. Ok, I’m going to stop now because, I’m getting all tears eyed and sentimental.
Geenahgee
Who cares if he’s gay. He’s a beautiful man. Regardless of his sexual preference.

Just wanted to point out… Marines aren’t soldiers. They’re Marines. Soldiers are army.
