Five suspects have been arrested in the brutal gang rape of a 15-year-old boy in Hopkinsville, Kentucky that left the victim with a punctured colon and injured bladder, LGBT Weekly reports.
The attack happened at a house party on October 12 and was captured on video then shared via Snapchat. Authorities are not yet sure if the footage was also shared online.
Sam Miller, 18, Dayton Ross Jones, 20, and Tyler Riess Perry, 19, along with two other young men, both aged 17, have all been arrested and charged in connection with the rape that left the unnamed victim in critical condition and rocked the small town of Hopkinsville.
Miller is the most recent person to be arrested. He’s been charged him with sodomy, first degree; promoting a minor in a sex performance; use of a minor in a sex performance; distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. His bond is set at $1 million.
Police have not released many details about the incident, or a possible motive, but they did say the victim knew his attackers.
“We haven’t uncovered any kind of premeditated plans,” Christian County sheriff’s Capt. Chris Miller told media.
The 15-year-old spent several days in intensive care at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, TN before returning home on Sunday. He is expected to make a full recovery.
Authorities say they are still interviewing people and that more arrests are possible.

So sorry for the victim. That’s an awful way to come out and be welcomed by your gay brothers and get your cherry popped (sounds like it was a gay party, doesn’t it?). Not intending to seem insensitive. My coming out was traumatic, but not nearly that bad. I did end up homeless after my older roomates raped me and then traded me for my own boyfriend. At one party I was at, I actually broke up a group abusing a young guest that had passed out.

My guess is this was a closeted gay sex party, since others were involved, and may be arrested, and no girls appear to have been at this party. They probably were imitating a scene from gay porn, which often depicts gang-bangs of younger, smaller guys. I know for a fact boys this age watch a lot of porn, and this is a popular theme in porn, like it or not. It says the victim knew the older boys, so perhaps they were all gay friends. I bet they got drunk or high and got carried away with the fun. What a terrible way to come out to your family.

Here is a lesser known fact, the recidivism rate never declined during that period. People are going to do what they have to do to survive, and once they learn how easy it is to survive off of stealing instead of working it is damn near impossible to teach them otherwise. When you start talking about more serious crime you have even less of a chance.

What I’ve been wondering is if the kid is gay. It’s a possibility these guys will use the defense he wanted it. What they did was horrendous. But I don’t think we have the full story here. I hope the best for the 15 year old. Mentally and physically that trauma will be with him for life. His chances of having a healthy and enjoyable sex life is certainly at risk. The kids who did this to him will be registered sex offenders for life. When I look at their faces though I don’t see monsters, I see dumbass kids out of control on a drug proven to cause violence and legal in every state. They need to face punishment and also need to have a chance for rehabilitation. Locking them up forever is pointless…a massive drain of taxpayer money. Kentucky averages about $15,000 per inmate so there goes $75,000 for the 5 for just a year. They won’t be taxpayers, their families will be ruined as well. And the 15 year old will be none the better for it. The glee that some of you express about their likelihood of being raped is sickening. This really is a lose/lose situation. I want nothing but the best for the poor kid who was victimized but I don’t want to see us turn into collective savages and pretend it’s justice. Lots of long hard thought needs to go into deciding the fate of those five kids. Maybe the five should be sentenced to collectively pay for all of his treatment from here on out.
