Excuse me. No love for Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Stormborn, the Unburnt, of the House Targaryen, First of her name, Queen of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Shackles, and Mother of Dragons? She will take what is hers with Fire and Blood.

An Emmy nomination for Michael Douglas playing a creepy ass homosexual guy in the totally forgetable “Behind the Candelabra”. What a shocker! But how “courageous” of Douglas to play gay.

      The “Emmys”. What a joke.

TATIANA MASLANY should have garnered nominations for Best Actress and Best Suppurting Actress for ORPHAN BLACK. She recently won the TV Critics Awards for Best Actress in a Drama.

Cloris Leachman, who holds the records for the performer AND woman with the most Emmy Wins should have been nominated for her dual performance on the season finale of RAISING HOPE. I do not think Julia Louise Dreyfus out-nominated Lucille Ball….I don’t even consider this woman to be in the same league of talent as the late, great Lucille Ball.

Anne Hathaway should have been recognized for her hosting of Safurday Night Live, one of the recent episodes of SNL I didn’t have to fast forward through.

Although I am thrilled for Jason Bateman’s nomination I thought it rather ridiculous to drive through Hollywood and seeing lawn signs promoting ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT for an Emmy. What’s next….people holding signs at intersections? Skywriting? Plane banners?

I’m not sure anyone actually watches it but my favorite show this year has been “Rogue” on the Audience network (same network that brought you “Damages” and “Friday Night Lights”). The show is well written and acted to perfection. Thandie Newton sears the screen playing an undercover cop who starts losing herself in that world.

@JRPActor: Great comments! Orphan Black was one of my favorite shows and Cloris Leachman is always too hysterical, J.L.Dreyfus…snooze.

Behind The Candelabra” Scores 15 Noms

Straight people awarding other straight people for playing gay. Wow, that’s very unusual for the entertainment business. I’ve never seen that before.
