Queerty is better as a member
The Edison in DTLA is pretty cool. Do get gussied up though, no flip flops and tees allowed.
I’m completely certain that these people’s experiences of Los Angeles (who are we kidding – West Hollywood) are WAY different from those of people who aren’t lucky enough to look like them.
I recommend Eleven if you want to be treated like a leper covered in shit.
Funny…in an article about Los Angeles, one of the the most diverse cities in the world, you found only ONE non-white(?) guy to ask? The occupations look like somebody was trading something for publicity.
@NoCagada: Why don’t you recommend an appropriate colored guy quota instead of just bitching (non-stop)? I’ve noticed Queerty including lots of colored guys in their posts–even ones so homely that we all know they were just pity inclusions–yet the same old unwavering complaint remains. Surprise, surprise.
Robby Zumaya, anytime babe just say when.
@masc4masc: OR… you could take your own advice, ignore the bitching, and keep it moving. Because you addressing the way you did indicates that maybe @NoCagada: has a point, although, as a black man, I don’t need to see other black men to be validated, especially on THIS site. Besides, there are gorgeous man candies all over the internet, @NoCagada: … browbeating Queerty isn’t going to make it better…it’ll just be disingenuous bullshit. No thanks. Do you, Queerty.
@erasure25: It saddens me to think that in your mind gussied up is not wearing a tshirt and flip flops. Gussied up is a suit and tie. t-shirts are for wearing as an undershirt.
All white all of the time
@masc4masc: LOL the village idiot
@Xzamilloh: you missed the point
@NoCagada: You have a point. And I like your delivery. You asked a simple question without being, bitchy, [email protected]
@masc4masc: “just bitching (non-stop)” Ha. The pot calling the kettle black.
@Tackle: You’re right. It isn’t diverse. They forgot to throw in some pornstars. Then again I’m sure most of them will be there soon enough:)
Gawd I don’t miss living in Weho.
@Xzamilloh: I gave him a suggestion that’s far more productive than just complaining all the time. I’m also kinda curious as to what ratio would get all these whiny brats to finally STFU. If you look at many of Queerty’s posts, he doesn’t have a point at all. Even a recent story about hot Frenchmen included like 3 black guys (even though NONE of them were even remotely hot). The last part of your little rant is basically agreeing with me anyway, so the angry black man act is unnecessary.
@Stache99: Back’atcha, buddy! All the comments I’ve seen from you are either chewing out a user or an editor. Though I’m always flattered by your obsession with anything I say. ;-)
I’m 46 yo. The oldest guy on the list is 32. Hum. Oh i forgot, we are not suppose to exist past 35 yo. (Because in ‘gay years’ 35 is like 85).
@Stefano: Either that or most people past 35 are past their vain attention whoring days.
That’s the same way I felt about their LA pride day photo’s. I was there and you saw many different ages, races and sexes. However, if all you did was look at Queerty’s world of Peter Pan you’d think it was 100% white twinks running around. The only time Queerty bothered to show people past 35 is when they wanted to contrast them as the bad people ie the haters.
@masc4masc: No it’s basically saying you both somewhat have a point, but still… you’re both making a bunch of noise, pretty much. It’s not that damn serious. And there was no “black man act”, so try to tone your rhetoric down because I’m starting to get why you replied the way you did
@stanhope: Shut that dumb shit up. I didn’t miss any point. I know what the “diversity” talk is about, but if you’re expecting any results from “arm chair activism” in the comments section, good luck with that because it’s not going to change diddly squat. They’re as diverse as they are going to be.
LA is for youth and it’s fun to live there when you are young. You seldom see the same people twice if you’re one of the wallflowers. The popular places to be seen and eat change often on the west side. If you want regular hangouts, try Silver Lake and Echo Park.
When I started to age (late 30s), I moved to SF. Much better, less ageist and you don’t have to maintain the pretty boy image. A good gym body helps in either city, or at least fit. The gym is a great place to meet people and make friends. Make a lot of non-sexual friends in both cities. You’re going to need them later.
@Stefano: In fairness, I think that mentality originated back when the average gay guy was dead by 35. Be proud of yourself for even making it to 46. Most of the mainstream gay male community is probably 25-35. 40 seems to be the absolute cut off. 40+ are usually off in the bear/chub and breed party crowds anyway. Not exactly the most appealing of social circles.
@Xzamilloh: Just like I said, you basically agree with me; I’m fine with that. Now, do you have a colored:white ratio you’d like to contribute (let’s say per 10)? Maybe Queerty can take a poll so we can finally put this issue to rest. I’m all for making this productive. @Tackle you in, buddy?
@masc4masc:masc4masc is a troll and like all trolls makes up BS to get an emotional response out of people.
@Stache99: That really hurt my feelings, Stache. I’m totally serious like 95 percent of the time. But if I was trolling, by your own logic, you certainly give me what I supposedly want every time. lol
@masc4masc: Oh, no… I peeped out that you were a troll a little while ago so yeah… I’m gonna disengage and just ignore you.
@masc4masc: Just the fact that you would use the term “colored guy” shows what a complete and utter ass you are.
