The 63rd Primetime Emmy nominations are here and, unsurprisingly, a lot of gay and gay-adjacent programming and people got the nod.
What follows is an incomplete list (the complete list is like Infinite Jest and you can see it at the bottom of this post, so don’t stress).
Glee: 12 nominations, including Best Comedy, Supporting Comedy Actor (Chris Colfer), Supporting Comedy Actress (Jane Lynch)
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Modern Family: 17 nominations, including Best Comedy, Supporting Comedy Actress (Julie Bowen, Sofia Vergara) and a near sweep of the Supporting Comedy Actor nominations with Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ed O’Neill and Eric Stonestreet competing against Chris Colfer and Two and a Half Men‘s Jon Cryer, who’ll probably win because he’s kind of been through a lot lately.
Comedy Actor: Jim Parsons, Big Bang Theory
Supporting Drama Actor: Alan Cumming, The Good Wife
Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie: Kate Winslet, Mildred Pierce; Diane Lane, Cinema Verite
Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie: Guy Pearce and Brian F. O’Byrne, Mildred Pierce

Variety, Musical Or Comedy Special: The Pee-Wee Herman Show On Broadway, Lady Gaga Presents The Monster Ball Tour: At Madison Square Garden, Bette Midler: The Showgirl Must Go On, Carrie Fisher in Wishful Drinking
Reality Competition: So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef, The Amazing Race, American Idol, Dancing With The Stars and Project Runway, none of which are specifically gay but have tons of gay people on them all the time, so it kinda-sorta counts here.
Sadly Snubbed: Extreme Couponing, Man-Eating Super Snake, Fashion Police, Cupcake Wars, Cops, Oddities, I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant, Sex Robots, Monster Bug Wars, Gigolos and Metalocalypse.
The complete, gigantic list is right here. Watch the video up top, too, for Bridesmaids star/nominee announcer Melissa McCarthy’s reaction to her own Mike and Molly nomination. Sweet vindication for all those years of Gilmore Girls getting nominated for absolutely nothing.

Good for Chaz Bono, Jane Lynch, Chris Colfer and Dot-Marie Jones. Terrific all.
But nothing for True Blood? Bizarre.
