Matt Drudge’s eponymous website currently features a line reading – no, declaring – “POLL: OBAMA TAKES LEAD IN TEXAS…” That poll, sponsored by the American Research Group reports that 48% of Texan Democrats plan to vote for Barack Obama, while only 42% want Hillary Clinton to be our president.
Another site, the oft-cited Rasmussen Reports, tells quite a different tale: Hillary holds a sixteen point lead on Obama, who holds 38% of the likely, while the former First Lady carries 54% of projected Democratic voters.
Hmmm, we wonder why Drudge would prefer ARG…

It’ll take time for the polls to settle down into a stable pattern. But, Obama is most certainly catching up. Because of districting, there’s a chance Hillary could win the popular vote — but Obama would come out with more delegates – which is what will count the most.
The fat lady is in the wings… just about to sing.

If Hillary wins the popular vote but Obama wins the most delegates, then they’ll have to switch talking points in their argument over super-delegates.

I don’t understand what’s implied– Queen Drudge prefers Obama over Hillary? Why should he? If Obama can beat McCain- and I think it’s clear he can- and Hillary can’t, then Mattie should be rooting for Hillary.

The whole of this Right-Wing Circus in which every pundit and pundit wannabee has weighed in on the Democratic Presidential ticket including Madge Ratt (Matt Drudge) a homophobic yet gay right-wing online pundit (think Rush Limbaugh and Karl Roves’ illigitimate love child who likes to wear a dress behind his powerful blogsite like a reincarnation of J Edgar Hoover) have gotten together to tweak the numbers and polls that Barack could beat McCain, the presumed GOP Presidential candidate so the media (including or own) can regurgitate these numbers until the masses believe. Now that the Latte Democrats have crashed from their caffeine high, the truth has always been that Senator and Madame Hillary Clinton is the bigest threat to the very entrenched right-wing machine that even the gay press has been blind-sided by. H.R.C. polls stronger on Experience, Healthcare and the Economy. Barack’s call for Change is ringing hollow as the media starts to shed the lovefest and start the politics of destruction against the more junior of the Senators. The Gay Press is only waking up slowly to the landslide numbers of Gays moving towards a name we already know and trust more which the GOP-Media are not about to define anew. Gays just can’t take risks like the Latte-chugging Obama Democrats.

If either of these candidates can’t beat McCain then I’m joining Comrade Purdue & signing up with the revolution. The Democrats will be dead to me.

Seitan: “Gays just can’t take risks like the Latte-chugging Obama Democrats.”
And if by some weird chance Obama is the nom (just play along with me here) you’ll stay home and stew in your loathing, hoping for a republican victory?
This kind of vehemance doesn’t do anything productive…argue on issues, but let’s not shoot ourselves in the foot.

It’s clear that Obama could beat McCain, but Hillary couldn’t?
Seriously, political neophytes, stop pretending as if you can predict who will be the most electable candidates. I assure you, there’s no reason to believe either candidate has a clear advantage over the other in being able to beat McCain.

Emb(ellish) I will not stay home on Election day or vote Republican (and sell my Gay Soul to Karl Rove) but I wanted to share this quote from Obama dissed gay-supporting Mayor of SF Newsom, who attended a Town Hall meeting with the Clinton campaign Monday, said he still looked forward to voting for Obama — in eight years. (The Advocate)

BTW Emb(ellish) Barack may win the Democratic Nomination but at a huge cost to Gay support who have deserted Obama for Gay-friendlier Hillary. Just read the more recent gaystream press and I will gladly vote for Obama in 8 years (and my banner will be BIGGER than yours!) I even hope that Michelle Obama is the next “Black Hillary” but I will not be dragged into Obama-way or the Highway while it is still called elections. Vehemence does not have to be a negative thing as it can produce positive results, too! Hillary-Obama 08!
