Everyone has an opinion about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock for making an admittedly bad joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith at last night’s Oscars, including Donald Trump Jr. Ugh.

The ex-president’s son took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the dramatic moment that overshadowed the entire evening.
“Why is will smith laughing after the joke?” Jr. wrote. “He laughs, then he gets all tough guy slaps Chris Rock goes back shouts almost like he’s acting like the tough guy rather than being one. I’m not saying it staged I’m saying Will Smith seems to be playing a role to look a part not be it.”
How about we take this to the next level?

He followed that up a little while later by writing: “What kind of privilege is it when you can assault someone on national television and then go ahead and win an Oscar rather than go to jail? Asking for millions of supposedly privileged people. #Oscars”

Did you hear that? It was the sound of irony taking its last breath after the son of an alleged billionaire who incited a deadly insurrection on the U.S. Capitol whined about privileged people not being held accountable for breaking the law on national television.
Now, the responses…
Very similar to the kind where you can attempt to violently overthrow a democratically-elected government and still be out here pretending you were born with those teeth.

Not yourself obviously, you’ve worked for everything you’ve got.

Wait until you find out what happened at a few MAGA rallies.

The victim declined to press charges. It’s not privilege, that’s how the law works.

The same kind of privilege that lets an adulterous, grifter, complete dumbass, reality TV star have the audacity to think he should be president.
Too soon?

Chris Rock declined to press charges.

The mind boggles how the irony is always lost on Donny Boi when he tweets these ridiculous comments. Must be after he smacked, sorry i meant to say, smoked a Rock.
Loi. Loi. Loi.
Jim
Will Smith should pay the price for his assault.
Cam
I would ask, what kin of person can steal money from a kids cancer charity and not get arrested for it?
GayEGO
I am surprised to see Will Smith smacking Chris Rock at the Oscars! He should pay the price for his action, maybe remove his Oscar!

I can’t stand any of the Trumps. That said, what Junior had to Tweet doesn’t bother me.
I do fear there is something seriously wrong with Will Smith. I think his whole family may be screwed up because it sure seems like they are all a mess. Not an excuse for violence, however. It does bolster my opinion that real entitlement comes from money and power. Will proved that. I mean everyone, including Will knows that Chris Rock was telling jokes written for him. Something isn’t right.
Just.my.opinion
I didn’t think my opinion of Will Smith could get any lower, but last night proved that it could. It’s still not as low as my opinion of the Trumps, though.
barryaksarben
My thoughts exactly. I have always found Will to be an egomaniac but NOTHING like the total insanity of Trump and his oldest son

I can’t believe that I’m going to say this, but Junior isn’t wrong. I noticed the same thing. It wasn’t a problem until Willy noticed that Jada didn’t appreciate the joke. Then, he flew off the handle.
gaym50ish
But, my question is, what was so insulting about being compared with Demi Moore at her hottest in “GI Jane”?
strap2900
It’s so sad Jada has alopecia, didn’t say the women who have alopecia and don’t have money for a doctor, food, or rent.
OhHellNo
Dude, sit up. You look like Donny the Hut lying down. Like a whale with COVID.
gaym50ish
If Will Smith wanted Jada’s name out of anyone’s mouth, his behavior had the opposite effect. Now the comedians are having a field day with her, and again people are drawing attention to her alleged affair with rapper August Alsina. Apparently Will knew about their fling and was OK with it, so now the world surmises that they have an open relationship. Will, are you too dumb to know all this negative attention would be the result of the slap?
