This post is part of a series of Queerty interviews with models, trainers, dancers, and, well, people who inspire us to stay in shape–0r just sit on the couch ogling them instead.
Name: Jason Caceres, 29
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Occupation: I am an actor. I’ve been on shows such as Criminal Minds, Insatiable on Netflix and Kidding on Showtime. I do some modeling and social media on the side but it’s not my focus at the moment. Although I am open to new ventures.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Favorite Gym: I work out at LA Fitness and it fits my workout schedule at the moment so I’m good.
Favorite Exercise Playlist: I play anything Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Demo Lovato. I love working out to a good, powerful diva playlist. It pumps me up and makes me feel like I could take over the world.
Favorite Workout Food: I try not to eat anything heavy before the gym. Typically, I’ll have my coffee when I wake up because if not there’s no getting me out of bed. Then, I’ll head straight to the gym and drink a protein shake as I’m working out. A biology teacher once told me that the best time to work out is right before breakfast because you’ll get the most results from your workout. So that’s what I do at the moment.

Favorite Workout Outfit: I like working out in clothes that are as freeing as possible. A comfy pair of loose basketball shorts and a cut up tank top are usually my go-to. My goal at the gym is to sweat as much as possible so I try to avoid tight clothes that’ll stick to my skin and create discomfort.
How do you balance staying in shape and having fun?
Haha! Very poorly. I wake up pretty early to go to the gym and have enough time to get through my to-do list that day so usually, by the time night hits, I’m practically dead. If I know I’m going to stay out a bit later then I try to sleep in a bit and work out a little lighter like maybe a nice hike with friends or a few laps in the pool. I just try to maintain a life as active as possible.
What’s a basic, if useful, work out tip you can offer?
Move your body for at least an hour a day in my opinion. It doesn’t have to be an intense workout as long as you’re doing something to elevate your heart rate a bit and get some sweat going. We live such sedentary lives nowadays that we don’t realize we spend much of our time sitting down. Go for a walk, take a dance class, ride a bike. It doesn’t matter as long as you’re moving.
What do you keep on your nightstand?
It’s a very basic list. My phone and phone charger. That’s pretty much it aside from my bedside lamp.

Jason Caceres is as talented as he is beautiful. I hope to see him more often on TV and film.

The pictures posted here have got to photoshopped. Upon googling Caceres’s name he’s all skin and bones. He looks like he’s 10. I would say that Cacere is a wanna be athlete. I would rather have seen an article posted about someone who’s done something with his life.
Doctor Benway
So, that’s the LGBT heroes Queerty gives to us? Can’t we have people who have something interesting to say, other than how they are doing their gym routine?
Cause i don’t really see what’s interesting in this article.
Matthew Rettenmund
The piece specifically states it’s about people who “inspire us to stay in shape.” They’re not saying he’s Harvey Milk, just Harvey Almond Milk. Calm down.

“people who “inspire us to stay in shape.”
By the looks of it I’d say having all day to spend on your body is the key. Find someone working say 9 to 5 and then show us how it’s done. Lol

Meh…I’d rather a guy that keeps some interesting fiction and Oreo’s on his night table than his cell.
nitejonboy
Amen!! At least he can act, thank god, he’s not just another pretty face.
Man About Town
I don’t think Ms. Lovato’s first name is Demo, though it would be if she were a MAD Magazine character.
Daggerman
..something is going on with his eyes he definitely has a somewhat sex appeal but I just thought does he like splashy games????? Is he gay is what I mean!!!!!
happiness17
This guy has no sex appeal. Maybe when grows up he will. Right now he looks like a little boy.
Tombear
He is a nice looking kid that a lot of older gay men would love to have sex with. I never knew he existed until this article.
nitejonboy
Never heard of him before, prolly because I’ve never watched any of those shows. I wanted to watch KIDDING though,I may go back and watch it from the beginning. He’s got a cute face, but he’s too muscular for me.
Gay Veteran
Well I nominate Dyllon Burnside for this series.

Another rerun
mrswallow62
Give me an average looking guy. Over a gym bunny. I am so tired of gym this and gym that.
Bryguyf69
Seriously??? How was he an “inspiration”? I could understand it if he was formerly 300 lbs, has some kind of disability, or even socioeconomically strapped. I mean no hate toward him but Queerty needs to reevaluate its priorities if it thinks that this was inspirational, motivational or even relevant. Why doesn’t Queerty have a series profiling people who really do matter to the community, e.g. activist teens, politicians, scientists, writers, etc.
