When I spoke with Alaska Thunderfuck in July she told me she was about to head to Colorado to film the video for “I Look Fuckin’ Cool” with Adore Delano. What she did not tell me was that she would also be filming the video for her upcoming single “Nails” (release date TBD) at the same time.
The schedule for the double shoot was intense. According to producer Katelyn Simkins “I look Fuckin Cool” was filmed during the day and “Nails” was filmed at night. Alaska and I were in communication while the videos were filming – because Dragaholic was running our “Your Makeup is Terrible Contest” – and she told me the shoot was “intense.”
The results are absolutely gorgeous though. Geek Mythology Productions is the same husband and wife team that also produced Sharon Needles‘ “I Wish I Were Amanda Lepore” which released earlier this week. So, for director Ben and producer Katelyn Simkins, this week has been intense! And for reporter me, covering all of these stories – same!

The release date for “Nails” has not yet been announced. I’m sure it will be fierce but let’s all take a breather for a bit first! Check out the amazing, futuristic video “I Look Fuckin Cool.” By the way, all of the rain in the video was provided 100 percent free, by natch! As Alaska would say, “C’mon backup plan!” because a lot of the scenes that were supposed to be filmed outdoors were not, due to weather. But as director Ben says, it made for happy surprises – the video came out even better than he expected!
