“A fit of rage” is what’s being described as the state Jose Luis Rodriguez was in when he allegedly stabbed his boyfriend’s chihuahua to death in an Upper East Side Manhattan park over the weekend, though we have a hard time rationalizing the disturbing attack under any terms.
Randy Capehart, aka gay adult film actor Vin Nolan (above), was in Texas attending his grandmother’s funeral and left his dog, Buddy, in the care of Rodriguez.
Suspecting Nolan of cheating, Rodriguez flew off the handle and attacked buddy in John Jay Park, near East 78th Street and FDR Drive, as terrified onlookers, including children, watched.
A witness promptly dialed 9-1-1, and Rodriguez was arrested a block from the park, a police spokesman told Daily Mail Online.

Rodriguez faces felony charges of aggravated cruelty to an animal, criminal mischief and criminal possession of a weapon.

He would’ve snapped any day, and lucky for Nolan, he took it out on the dog instead of him. Even more lucky, it was done in public, leading to the boyfriend’s capture. Otherwise, he might have waited and killed Nolan upon his return. In a very real sense, the dog was sacrificed to save Nolan.
While the loss of buddy is horrible, Nolan’s death would have affected and traumatized many more people. I think that what @Aromaeus was trying to say.

Actually, dating a porn actor is more like an open relationship, which doesn’t qualify as cheating since the outside sex is known to the couple. I had a patient who did porn and he described his professional sex as purely physical and mechanical. But if he gets emotionally involved, then it borders on cheating.
A friendship is purely emotional. A fling is purely physical. A relationship combines the best of both. My girlfriend obviously has friends, and I’m fine with that. And if I found out she had flings, I’d feel inadequate, but I’d still be okay if she was honest about them. But I’d feel threatened and would probably leave if I knew that both her body and heart were vested in someone else.

I am sorry for the passing of his grandmother and my sympathy goes out to him and his family.
Grandmothers are the mainstay in the lives of many gay men and women. Regardless of what “career” we enter into some how they tend to be the first ones who accept the situation as is and quit being judgmental lest they know they won’t see you again. And for the majority that is the last thing they want. I know of no one who didn’t shed tears at grandma’s funeral, especially here in the south. Mine left me back in the 1970’s and to this day I still think of her and when I was a kid at least once per day. I hope he is in the same situation as for remembrance. It helps relieve the stress of everyday life and in NYC every little bit helps.

Gotta say it, but looking at some of the commentary on this article leads me to believe many of you are as psychotic or sociopathic as this animal killer. The sheer coldness of your comments makes me want to recommend that some of you get serious attention from a psychiatrist.
