Remember how we reported that the President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni, wanted scientific justification for toughening penalties for LGBTs? And how all of the science indicates that he shouldn’t toughen penalties? And then he went ahead and toughened them anyway?
So, yeah, that happened. And now we have a better idea how: It turns out that his advisors lied to him. Surprise!
Our exact words were, “If we had to guess, we would guess that it’s a case of experts just saying what they think powerful elected officials want to hear, whether it’s true or not.”
And sure enough, one report wrote that homosexuality “needs regulation like any other human behaviour, especially to protect the vulnerable.” Vulnerable to what, exactly?
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
And a caucus followed up: “Homosexuality is not a disease but merely an abnormal behaviour which may be learned through experiences in life.” Nope, that is not true!
Also this: “Presidential Advisor on Science Dr Richard Tushemereirwe stated that homosexuality has serious Public Health consequences and should therefore not be tolerated.”
As we’ve pointed out, all serious medical organizations oppose anti-gay legislation, and most support marriage equality. But that still hasn’t stopped ideologues from ignoring all evidence and imposing their dogmatic rules on everyone around them.

The fearful thing is the mob justice we are going to suffer.

That report was probably folded around a big brick of 100 dollar bills provided by Scott Lively and the tyrannical bunch of evangelicals who’s sole purpose in life is to recreate the inquisition in Africa with homosexuals as their victims. How very Christian of them.

We need to start leveraging our foreign aid. Then again, we’d have to exclude most countries in the world that need it.
@Mezaien: Whoa, unnecessary. Fighting homophobia with racism does nothing.

Still living in the Dark Ages, arent they. They dont deserve an ounce of respect or a penny of aid to help their starving people. They disgust me.
