Our pal Lauren Williams of Stereohyped fame just reminded us of Rebbie Jackson: you know, the oldest, least memorable of the Jackson clan?
If you don’t know RJ, don’t feel bad. She’s most well known for this track, “Centipede,” which she released in 1984. As we type this, Williams is trying to convince us that this shit’s “classic” and “so good”. We’re not entirely convinced, but we’re digging the early-80’s special effects and Rebbie’s Eartha Kitt impression. Meow!

Lauren is right!
She must be a Donnie Simpson “Video Soul” fan!
I suggest “Vanity”

Least memorable? I don’t remember Randy or Tito starting any break dance crazes!
JP
I don’t think she is “least memorable” at all.
This song and video is a pop classic.

The Brown version of “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend”!

None of those Jackson girls can sing, but Rebbie sounds better than Janet and LaToya.

The song is classic 80’s r&b. She really should have been a star.

It’s always nice to remember that Jermaine isn’t the only non-dancing Jackson.

Man, y’all just don’t know! I was a kid when this came out and we were ALL mesmerized.

Centipede was the shit… mesmerized is exactly how I would describe seeing it back in the day….and FYI – Rebbie is not the oldest of the clan their brother Jackie is. All so singing may not be the strongest asset that the Jackson women possess, but you have to give credit where credit is due with or without the voice Janet is the 3rd best selling female artist of all time and your right she can’t sing… wonder what it is must be that mesmerizing thing that the Jacksons have!!! you gotta love it..
Kisses from my castle…
