When a reader suggested we play “Faded” by soulDecision, we though, “Huh?” Then we remembered that we know the Canadian popster’s song by another name, “That song we’re too embarrassed to admit liking”.
Now that the cat’s out of the bag, why don’t you pump it up and indulge yourself? Because, really, only a total monster could resist such beautiful, dance-ready foolishness.
(Astute readers will notice that we’ve made a small edit to this little post. We originally referred to the band as “Soul Decision”. Apparently they prefer “soulDecision”. Why? Well, they did debut in the 90s – the most frivolous era in human history.)

I too was embarassed to like this song, but I love, love, love the keyboard player in the sunglasses.
Probably because he’s a friend of mine.

Oy vey I was in college when this came out, and I am embarassed I liked it too!!
stella
this is absolutely one of my favorite songs, because i think it’s the worst pop song ever created, though technically totally proficient, it’s just not that good. Just when you think it’s just another really bad pop song, all of a sudden there’s a rap breakdown, and it just gets worse, and it’s so awesome, I dance to it in the elevator at work.

haha. i love it. but i’ll have to disagree with stella. The worst pop song ever was that song by LFO… I think it was called Summer Girls, something like that. Still liked it, but that has to be the worst! 🙂
Bitch Republic
This is just a reall bad song. I don’t think I’ll ever listen to a song recommended by Queerty again. YUCK!
HL
I always wondered the name of this song but was too embarassed to ask.
