Afternoon Aural: The Good, The Bad and The Queen

We haven’t been this excited about a recently released album since Lily Allen. Coincidentally enough, The Good, The Bad and The Queen also hail from merry old England. The self-titled debut album features as Blur frontman Damon Albarn, Clash bassist Paul Simonon, former Verve guitarist Simon Tong of Verve fame and Tony Allen, drummer for Africa 70. They may very well be Britain’s Traveling Wilburys, only more sinister, emotive and far superior. Although, we wouldn’t expect anything less from this brood.

This here’s the video for “Kingdom of Doom” – uplifting, no? The album’s out now. We strongly recommend you buy it. Or steal it from a friend.
