The teasers not only teased you, but taunted you. And trolled you.
After piling on loads of misdirecting promo spots, the real theme of American Horror Story‘s sixth season was finally revealed during last night’s premiere, although it’s still uncertain how the story will be ultimately clicking into place.

Those who predicted Roanoke would figure prominently in the storyline turned out to be correct, although almost definitely not in the way they imagined.

Loved it.

We kinda liked it. The idea that these people bought a house in the boonies amidst threatening hillbillies and don’t have a gun or even a dog is just silly.

Thought it was rather boring, especially considering all the teaser hype. The Roanoke theme seems a bit like The Leftovers, and since the present day couple is telling the story the dramatization is depicting, we already know they obviously lived through whatever happens.
@s: I also kept thinking, why would such an uppity interracial couple want to live in an area desirable to hillbillies? Even with the knockout incident, they were most likely safer in the city.

@Masc Pride: I agree completely. We already know they live and the teasers were more interesting this plot seems to be. I’ll have to keep watching to see what unfolds. Sometimes in American Horror Story, especially the last couple seasons, it seems as if the writers just throw everything at the wall and see what sticks.

*********SOMEWHAT SPOILERS RELATED******
I really not a fan of the ‘My Ghost Story’ type of filming. By that we know that the ones that are telling the story live so that makes it less suspenseful for me personally.

BORING AS an old saggy gay on Wed night. Is the gorgeous MATT BOMER gonna be on this thrifty show???? ANYONE KNOWS?

Those who keep insisting that the storytellers ‘obviously’ live, ‘obviously’ have never seen AHS.

AHS’ teasers and trailers (even the opening credits) have always been scarier than the show itself. Anyway, this season looks promising. And, for crying out loud, no more sinister, vengeful ghosts and serial killers please!

First off, I love this AHS. It has been my favorite show since season 1. However, the first episode of every season has always been a bit confusing and almost quite boring. It’s the second episode that always pulls me into the story. I think the new format is a little odd, but Ryan Murphy knows what he’s doing and I’m sure this season will be great (or at least better than Asylum).
