Pastor Larry Tomczak feels bombarded, and that’s never a good thing. Then again, his severe antigay sentiment crumbles with incredible ease on a recent episode of Anderson Cooper 360.
In an op-ed for The Christian Post, Pastor Larry muses:
The indoctrination and propaganda coming from those advocating a gay lifestyle in our country classrooms and culture are increasing. All of us need to take note and take action to guard those we love.
We are Being Bombarded [sic]!
And what does he point to for examples of this indoctrinating propaganda? Shows like Dancing With the Stars and Survivor (is that still on?) have–shock!–had gay contestants, and that pesky Ellen Degeneres celebrates her “marriage” (he uses quotes of course) on her daytime talk show. Then there’s shows like Glee and Modern Family — don’t even get him started on those.
But Larry is an idea man, and he’s got the perfect solution to the whole mess — parents should turn off the TV and stick to the DVD player, where they can watch “wholesome” shows like I Love Lucy and Leave it to Beaver. And look, we love Lucy just as much as the next gay, but there are volumes to speak on dated gender roles propagated on both shows.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
And as Anderson puts it, those were the “good old days, when gays could be arrested or fired from their jobs…and live their lives mostly in the shadows.”
It’s an obvious point to make, but here we are still having to make it. And while it’s easy for people like Anderson Cooper and Ellen Degeneres (or anyone rational being) to poke holes in Larry’s ideology, you can bet there’s a flock hanging on his every word, teaching their children the same babbling drivel.
With any luck they’re also watching Glee behind their parents’ backs and living for every second of it.
Here’s the segment as it aired:

No doubt, this stupid homophobe beats off to child porn when he’s comes home every night. I mean, why does he care one way or another, other than hypocritical self-hatred? What a moron.

I’m still trying to get past the “indoctrination and propaganda” he and his bigoted peers forced on me during my childhood. Where do I go to get all that therapy money back???

Even before AC publicly came out always took it too ignorant bastards like this douche. I respect AC for that. Always have. He always put the anti gay bigots in their place. Much respect for his famous voice.

@shle896:
Actually, he probably has a donkey and enjoys watching his wife take that big ole donkey dick up his bum while his son screws his sister and then sucks off the donkey after the donkey’s done with mommy’s bum. All the while, I’m sure he’s wearing a red teddy, fishnet hose, and spiked heals, while using a horse whip on his family and screwing the family dog.
On a more serious note, did you catch the mention of the “learning” channel’s reality show, “My Husband’s Not Gay”? I checked out the promo and it was followed up by another reality show promo for someone addicted to drinking her own urine and sniffing dirty diapers while she takes baths in “aged” urine. That’s all that needs to be said about the credibility of the “learning” channel.

@oldbrit: I meant “up her bum”

Yes, but they like those too. Really, the two are pretty tightly intertwined.

Larry is a coward, I posted a comment on his site and he deleted it. I suppose he refuses to deal with logical, science and facts.
Here’s the comment I left him:
Dear Larry, it’s funny you would single out homosexual marriage as a threat against “the sanctity of marriage” when divorce among heterosexual couples is at 50%. Secondly, the bible doesn’t just define marriage as being between “a man and a woman”, but also man+woman+his concubines, man+woman+woman’s slaves, man+multiple wives, man+brother’s widow, rapist+his victim, soldier+prisoner of war, male slave+female slave (a pairing chosen by their master). Ignoring those accounts of what the bible considers marriage makes you, dear Larry, a cherry picker.
Now, considering you call homosexuality to be against nature, let’s define what means to be “natural”. The dictionary defines “natural” as: existing in or caused by nature; not made or caused by humankind. This is important, because homosexual behavior is observed on 1500 animal species other than human. Do you realize that? Perhaps, if it happens in nature so much, it IS natural. That YOU don’t understand it or don’t see a purpose in its existence doesn’t mean God doesn’t have a purpose for it in God’s ultimate wisdom that is far greater than yours or mine, even if it’s only to keep population growth under control.
Now, since you’ve talked about protecting fragile children. Just in the hypothetical case that homosexuality was finally found to be somehow a genetic condition (again, “natural”) as most recent studies have shown to probably be the case, would you tell a child he/she is wrong for EXISTING as God made him/her? I don’t know about you, but I think what a child needs is love and acceptance, not being taught hatred (for him/her self and others who are different) based on a religious beliefs they are too young to fully understand or commit to in good faith.
I pray for you Larry, that God fills your heart with love and allows you to love people and embrace them with the kind of love that God gives everybody, as opposed to excluding, excoriating and ostracizing people who people like you already oppress and hurt every day.
