The new Arcade Fire Video for “We Exist” is all sorts of wonderful. Here’s why.
First we have Andrew Garfield shirtless. A perfect way to being any endeavor.
Doesn’t take much to get our attention.
But it’s haircut day for Andrew, and he’s shaving it all off. Hot.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
At this point we’re basically hooked, but we weren’t prepared for the next step in transformation.
Andrew goes for the bra.
Fantastic! You walk that gender line, Spidey.
Then she gets a good look going. Trailer park chic is in right now.
And naturally once she finds her look, she has to take it out for a stroll, ending up at the friendly neighborhood trucker bar.
There’s this couple dancing, and it’s clear she wants to join but can’t find the courage. So you think it’s great when a nice looking fella asks for a dance.
Except things don’t go so well on the dance floor…and it turns into a little hate crime scene.
And that’s when it gets all abstract and Andrew does a mean solo dance number.
And the truckers come back as queered up gogo daddies. Can someone say “explorations in gender identity”?
Then the whole thing culminates at Coachella, obviously.
Oh, and the song is good too. Watch/listen for yourself:

is that the same bar from the movie “The Accused” with Jodie Foster?

Yum. “Andrew Garfield is so hot right now” says me in a Jacobim Mugatu/Will Ferrell voice.

I don’t understand the video is about transgendered identity or Butch men Who are also feminine

@toshafree: Why not both?

@stranded: I thought about that movie too when I saw this video.
