But in the crowd was Michael Lucas, who threw some cash at GOProud’s Homocon event to be listed as a sponsor, probably so he could ask her a question on videotape. Which he did!
Repeating Coulter’s own gay jokes back to her, the noted Islamophobic porn proprietor asked why Coulter wasn’t doing more to speak on our behalf. I think? I sort of zoned out until GOPRoud chairman Christopher Barron (I think?) started yelling at Lucas to lay off — something that’s hard for him to do do, as anyone who’s engaged Lucas in conversation can attest.

From what I can gather, Michael is just trying to get her to say that being gay isn’t a choice, and her response is, what does it matter?
On the one hand, I agree with Coulter — it doesn’t matter. People should have the right to screw and commit to whomever they want to.
On the other hand, the reality is that her base believes that being gay is a choice, and so we should just choose to be straight. And just because we don’t means that we are evil and aren’t deserving of any rights.
