The reason the entire East Side of Manhattan was a traffic nightmare yesterday? Because Obama was in town raising cash at the $15,000-a-plate DCCC fundraiser at the St. Regis. Also not helping the traffic situation: Protesters lying down in Madison Avenue to protest Obama’s “broken promises on global AIDS funding.” Eight were arrested, but we hear the shrimp was delicious.

I would be very glad were global AIDS funding cut. Divert that to schools. Over the long term, a people is better underpopulated than undereducated; a person better dead than dumb.

I really don’t want to criticize anyone protesting for AIDs funding because that’s obviously something that the community and the world needs, but I honestly don’t see how laying down in the street helps.
It’s not going to get any more msm attention than protesting on the sidewalk; you’re just more likely to get arrested doing it.
