Incidentally, bullying eventually got me to sympathize with the most evil villains in storytelling – because they are the ones with the painful stories, and a powerful agenda – and with those who committed mass shootings. It would be interesting to see whether of this art turns out genocidal. Not everyone’s sense of self-worth falls when it’s challenged.
