Okay, so how else did Harris show off his talents besides walking in a straight line down a rose-colored carpet? By closing the show with this:

    ummm. ok.

    yes, i know this is awesome and maybe a first but, IDK, I’m sorta like, so what. And I hope most of America is like that as well. Because when America doesn’t care then it means we’ve come a long way.

  • GJR

    It’s pretta hard not to like NPH. He’s so adorable, such a sweetheart..Yes, I have a major crush

  • Dennis

    NPH was fabulous, a great host, and his closing song KILLED! Damn David Burtka better watch his back….kidding, just kidding! They make a lovely couple, sigh…

  • Bill S

    Yeah, that closing number was awesome!
    Neil and David are such a cute couple, I’m jealous of both of them!

  • Laszlo

    NPH did a great job as host of this year’s Tony Awards. His performance in the closing number just kicked ass!

  • The Gay Numbers

    They seem like a really nice couple.

  • BillyBob Thornton

    The closing number was the best part of the whole damn show! Well, the performance by the Hair cast was pretty awsome too.

  • Distingué Traces

    GODAMMIT!

    I watched most of the last hour, waiting to see NPH, but then I gave up and switched off right before the end.

    Someone better put the song on Youtube.

  • Sam

    Distingue Traces, Queerty has it posted here.

    David Burtka better watch his backDennis

    Surely you mean “watch has ass”?

    Not all of broadway is gay you know!!?? How discrminating of Harris…Now that he’s been “forcibly” out he is just annoying…..

  • GJR

    @alan brickman:

    Um, what the hell are you talking about “forcibly out” – NPH has always been out, no one has forced him. He is extremely open about it and has a “take it or leave it” attitude. I wish more gay actors would take that approach. As to his little joke about “not all of Broadway being gay”, I don’t find that offensive at all, or at very least, no more offensive than the joke of our great protector Barack Obama that he and Ploff (Axelrod?) should go to Iowa to “make it official”…

  • Jake the libertarian

    @alan brickman:

    Most homos have a sense of humor you party pooping stick in the mud. Either that or you were just trying to get a rise out of people, in which case I tip my hat to you sir. Well done.

  • Rock

    @scott ny’er: So what?

    Can you imagine Vin Diesel or Jake Gyllenhaal doing the same, walking the red carpet with boyfriends?

  • GJR

    @Rock:

    Has Jake been officially confirmed? I just know they are lucky I wasn’t in Brokeback Mountain with Heath Ledger. I would demand they reshoot the sex scenes 50-60 times to make sure we got it just right. Insist that Heath engage in the real thing, so it would all have that realistic feel.

  • hardmannyc

    You mean there are gay men involved with Broadway? Wow, we really have made inroads!

  • Rock

    @GJR: Jake is officialy in the closet and bearding.

  • Bitch, please!

    Holy crap, the guy can sing and a great voice too! As for the queens panting like bitches in heat about Vin Diesel and Jake being gay–how do you know they are gay? Have you caught them with their pants down, sucking dick? And just to humor you lot, what if they were gay? Do you think you would have a chance in hell with any of them? So just go back to your fantasies that all hot men are gay and do what you do best–jack-off to those “gays gone crazy” fantasies.

    the show was actually entertaining. i would like to see hair and rock of ages. neil was cute and adorable.

  • rick

    @alan brickman: what a putz you are.

  • rick

    is it just me or is gods of carnage who’s afraid of virginia wolfe with kids?

    all the guys from jersey boys was cool. was entertained by everything but the billy eliot number, all i wanted to do was scream child abuse, and that number from shrek.

    amazing how hair is still as relevent today as it was when i was 10.

    rock of ages appears to be a good old time.

    Just Love, Love, Love Neil Patrick Harris.he is funny, has a great dry wit, humorous, talented, doesn’t take himself too serious and a down to earth guy…he and his partner look very happy so more power to them and woo hoo it is cool to celebrate that for once the closet door has been busted down and its just ordinary, hum drum to see partners together, thanking one’s partner, kissing and holding hands just like the breeders too…..and that’s a good thing!

  • Rock

    @Bitch, please!: Hi fangirl! Did anyone caught John Travolta with his pants down, sucking dick?

  • WeHo

    @Bitch, please!: Jake Gyllenhaal and Vin Diesel sucked a lot of dicks.

  • Awardit

    I heard that David Unger invested in the Tony Awards and that he owns a large percent of many of the large theaters. He truly give back to the community and should be celebrated in Out 100’s list.

  • GJR

    @Slider:

    Well all that..and the obvious, forgive me father, for I have sinned, I would really like to engage in sexual activities multiple times with NPH – not of course sinning for the gay part, sinning for plotting ways to send his boyfriend away on a slow boat to China…

  • GJR

    @WeHo:

    Hmm, wonder if Health allowed him to do any extra rehearsals…Yeah, I know, Heath was one of those heterosexual deviant people but a guy can fantasize…

  • slider

    GJR….um, who can blame you…..well, NPG partner will..but come on, who can really blame you..NPH is such a hottie..well they both are…so hey let’s not exclude David Burtka….yummy as to both:)

  • galefan2004

    Cute couple. They look very much alike actually. I have to agree with the poster that said when America says so what it means we have come a long way. I remember when there would be protesters in the street just because of this.

  • alejandro

    i heart NPH soooo much!!

  • hardmannyc

    @Awardit: You heard wrong. He made a wise investment in Wicked and a very few other shows. No theaters and no Tony Awards, which can’t be “invested in” in the first place.

  • Joe Mustich, Justice of the Peace

    Kudos to NPH.

    Gee guys, why not come to CT and get married when you’re ready, or not?
