Meet Manny Gutierrez, the 25-year-old YouTuber and makeup guru who was just tapped to be the face of Maybelline’s new mascara campaign.
Manny has over 500,000 Twitter followers, 2.2 million YouTube subscribers, and 3.1 million Instagram followers. Of course, no one amasses that kind of social media following without also attracting a few haters along the way.
Earlier this month, internet troll/right wing blogger Matt Walsh tweeted a picture of Gutierrez, along with the caption, “Dads, this is why you need to be there to raise your sons”:

In response to the homophobic tweet attacking his son, Manny’s dad decided to speak up. Since he’s not quite as social media savvy as his son, he sent him a text message than asked Manny to share it on his own platform.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
“I know the words you speak are from lack of knowing anybody from the LGBT community,” he wrote. “If you did, you would soon realize they are some of the most real and kind hearted individuals that walk this planet of ours.”
Here’s Manny Sr.’s full message:
My dad is a fucken SAVAGE, I can't with him ?? pic.twitter.com/iWceEmZ6L4
— Manny MUA (@MannyMua733) January 14, 2017
The tweet quickly went viral, receiving more than 60,000 likes and 13,000 shares. And commenters can’t seem to get enough of Manny Sr.:

@MannyMua733 give your dad a hug from me, please? He is a bad ass!
— Kat LaVergne (@AKrazyKorner) January 14, 2017
“He’s the best,” Manny wrote in response to one fan’s comment. “[I’m] so lucky to have him.”

I really wish folks would write in complete sentences or in a way that others can understand clearly. Writing clearly is important and it still can be done in 140 characters. 140 characters is not a limitation to expressing yourself.
I clearly understand and support the Dad in what he is saying. He loves and supports his son! Fine! Great! And his son seems like a very decent person! Fine Great! I would suspect that the son clearly loves his Dad, and the support that his Dad has given him over the years. All Fine! All Good!
“My dad is a fucken SAVAGE, I can’t with him ??”
“I can’t with him” – I can’t WHAT with him?
How are we supposed to understand this message. It is worse when this statement is repeated several times – as if it is clear.
The Illuminatti
Yes, that is the message we should take from all this, right? What a moron. Was that grammatically correct enough for you? So we should all ignore the message if it is not grammatically correct, if i used that rule all Americans would be discounted automatically as they have been butchering the English language for decades.
SamDixon3972
I did not ask for “grammatically correct” writing – just statements that are clear and understandable. I clearly applauded the Dad and the Son and their actions in FOUR separate statements. I simply asked what was meant by a particular phrase because it was repeated several times.

Hello SamDixon3972…cleary I understand what you mean. You kind of have to be up with the slang terms these days unfortunately. The phrase “I can’t with him” or “I can’t” is an abbreviated phrase that is used by today’s youth and urban society. The phrase can go negative or positive depending on the person it’s referencing. ex: if someone is getting your last nerve…one might say “I can’t with him” meaning I can’t deal with him nor do I want to. If someone does or says something really awesome…one might use the same phrase, but it will mean; I can’t keep compete with them or I can’t trump that! Just my two cents to help you out.

To Dougie67. Thank you, thank you, for for explaining all that. Too young to be a baby boomer and slightly too old to be a GenXer, I was completely lost with today’s millennial, texting, tweeting lingo. Even now I can’t even bring myself to use emoticons, emojis or lols. So thank you for kindly explaining everything. I think this kid and dad are just great! I wish my dad were like his.
BriBri
He looks perfectly ridiculous.

My problem with this article is in the YouTube beauty/makeup artist community manny Mua is known for being a bully to people and belittling consumers/fans at international makeup artists trade shows and online via Twitter and other social media saying “if u can’t use Morphie eyeshadows to make a look ur anidiot and need to stop doing makeup” check your sources on YouTube and Google. Search Manny Mua bully’s fans….. He can be nasty to people like his friend Patrick Starr acting like the world owes him something.
The Illuminatti
So that makes it OK for someone to bully him? Two wrong make a right in your eyes, is that it? Wow, just wow.

I’m loving the new look of Queerty. I wish that they used a comment section where we can upvote and downvote comments so the best comments gets to be on top and the worthless ones on the bottom.
