The terminally delightful BenDeLaCreme, from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6, was in attendance last Thursday night at Neighbours Nightclub for Seattle Pride as 42 drag queens, and one drag king, set a new world record for the largest drag show.
In a statement released to the Huffington Post, Adam McRoberts, the Communications Director for Seattle Pride, said, “Seattle has so many reasons to celebrate Pride this year, and we’re thrilled that we get to break a Guinness World Record in recognition of our 40th anniversary. We know Seattle has one of the biggest and best drag queen communities in the country, so bringing everyone together for this historic event just made perfect sense.”
NewNowNext has also reported that “evidence and witness statements are being compiled and submitted to Guinness for review and approval.” We’ll be sure to keep you updated as to whether or not the new record gets approved by Guinness.
