A Jamaican citizen felt it necessary to publicly celebrate anti-gay preacher ‘Al’ Miller. We read exactly two sentences of this shit before rolling our eyes at the banality of it all: “…I wish to commend Jamaican church leaders for not caving in to outside pressure from homosexual groups intent on corrupting Jamaica. The international movement of gay rights activists typically invade places like Jamaica… and try to change that society’s rejection of homosexual activity and lifestyle into gradual, even if reluctant, acceptance.” We’re such monsters! I don’t mean to quibble, but the letter’s author is apparently Canadian.
Past events reported from Jamaica, Bahamas, and Cayman Islands make it highly unlikely I would be willing to part with hard-earned money to support such homophobic societies.
