UPDATE: We’ve amended this article after receiving an email from Crocker, who was unhappy with its flippant tone. For the record: We’re big fans of Crocker and our intention was to simply mimic his flair for dramatics which we’ve come to know and love. That being said, here’s the post…
Super breaking news, fellas. Internet celebrity Chris Crocker has undergone plastic surgery.
Last month, the YouTube star posted the following message to his Facebook page:
Uh. I’ll be 28 this year and I still hear people talking about me as if their perception of me is up-to-date.
Girl, I grow and evolve and if I haven’t known you in the past year; I’m certain you don’t know me anymore.
Hit refresh, boo.
Now, it seems Crocker has made good on the whole “growth and evolution” promise by having surgery.

The cosmetic procedure happened on Wednesday afternoon and involved having both his upper and lower lips injected with filler. Crocker posted photos of himself before and after the surgery to his Instagram page.
A few hours later, he followed it up with a quote seemingly directed at any haters. It reads: “If someone shows their true colors, don’t try to repaint them.” The quote was accompanied by the caption: “Negative people who think entirely from their perspective only will be held at a distance.”
Crocker issued the following statement to Queerty regarding this morning’s Queerty post and operation:
I do not like to see my baby steps in facial feminization to be trivialized. This isn’t about getting a Hollywood phase. This is a part of a journey for me. A journey I do not want given attention to by readers and editors who only see me as a joke. This is very serious to me and the beginning of procedures to come to match who I am on the inside.

If you don’t have anything interesting to write, don’t con your readers with a misleading title. The use of the word “rush” implies something gone wrong, when in fact nothing went wrong and therefore there is no story, besides you wanting to gossip about Chris Crocker’s filler injections. Talk about being basic. I will say that this: “If someone shows their true colors, don’t try to repaint them” was a nice quote.
He looks good.
Must be a slow news day.
Queerty must be desperate for traffic. The use of click bait is ridiculous.
Jesse Balcuns-Contreras Jr.
Today, the SCOTUS upheld a key provision of the ACA ensuring countless low-income families continue to receive the help they need in purchasing health insurance but the above story is what you news fed.
You only forgot to ask if any of us care
Tristan LeMasson Bangard
@stranded: Oh no… something definitely went wrong. Did you not look at the picture?
WTF is this anyway? How is this nut job still relevant?
@Jesse Balcuns-Contreras Jr.: Not only that but they also upheld housing discrimination rules. Two massive losses to conservatives this morning. Three victories for Obama so far this week. His trade bill passes comfortably, ACA and Housing Discrimination rules upheld…
And all we hear about is Chris Crocker? Wasn’t he going to transition?
This hysterical muppet-turned-androgynous pornographer got plastic surgery? How is this not the top story breaking news on all of my 24-hour news channels!?
Who the hell cares.
1. What poll?
2. Would the poll have included an option for “I don’t care”?
Clickbaiting headline, use of the pointless term “internet celebrity”… Well, I know we don’t come here for real news anyway…
um, yeah ok.

#1- I have been waiting to get my lips done forever. #2- ANYONE WHO KEEPS UP WITH MY PAGE KNOWS I HAVE HAD THIS PLANNED WITH A CONSOLTATION. #3- This is the most misleading & false headline & I want to know who wrote this immediately.
My lips are amazing & I couldn’t be happier with them. Whoever wrote this wrote this for clicks on their website & is misleading the public.
The SCOTUS, today, upheld subsidies for the ACA and this is what Queerty is posting?
Is he a girl now?
Shared this on fb ….was fb friends with crocker and simply for sharing I was defriended…..should I be upset?
FALSE. Chris has talked about getting his lips done forever. If you actually follow his page. This article is 100% trash.
This is the epitome of bad journalism. Maybe don’t call a planned surgery a rushed one for attention?
It is hard enough to find news sources that are somewhat honest. Shame on you for making up stories in order to get attention. This is not what the LGBT is about. Very disappointed in you guys. I’m actually going to remove you from the Feedly app. I just cannot trust you with your lies.
He does look good in general, but false lips NEVER look natural or good.
They always looks swollen and infected unless covered by tons of lip gloss or lipstick.
Also, some people going cuckoo about FALSE INFORMATION in the article
Get over yourselves. This is a fluffy, filler article. If you’re offending for a Youtube celebrity, go back to Tumblr where you belong.
I never thought Chris needed facial feminization because he always looked good when he was dressed as a woman, but if that is what Chris wants, more power to him. I am with the camp that thinks false lips rarely look good though.
I hate when people type “who?” when they want to make it known that they have complete disdain for a certain celeb, as if they have never heard of Google before.
He was beautiful whether he was trying to look masculine or feminine. I hope that he doesn’t end up with plastic surgery deadface.
He’s average looking at best. But I really thought he was going to start HRT and everything.
Leave the big lips to black men, thank you. Only they know how to rock ’em!
Thank you, Queerty, for this article. It only makes me all the more happier I grew up in the country back in the……well, we didn’t have things like this and had to read the newspaper for news. You make me so happy I still remember how to do that. So I leave now to do just that, read a newspaper.
Newsflash For Queerty:
Getting a bit of filler injected into one’s lips does not qualify to be called Surgery. It can be done with local anesthetic cream, a few needle pricks and takes just a few minutes. Calling Chris’s procedure lip augmentation surgery is just silly and is deliberately dishonest.
