Super breaking news, fellas. Internet celebrity Chris Crocker has undergone plastic surgery.
Last month, the YouTube star posted the following message to his Facebook page:
Uh. I’ll be 28 this year and I still hear people talking about me as if their perception of me is up-to-date.
Girl, I grow and evolve and if I haven’t known you in the past year; I’m certain you don’t know me anymore.
Hit refresh, boo.
Now, it seems Crocker has made good on the whole “growth and evolution” promise by having surgery.

The cosmetic procedure happened on Wednesday afternoon and involved having both his upper and lower lips injected with filler. Crocker posted photos of himself before and after the surgery to his Instagram page.
A few hours later, he followed it up with a quote seemingly directed at any haters. It reads: “If someone shows their true colors, don’t try to repaint them.” The quote was accompanied by the caption: “Negative people who think entirely from their perspective only will be held at a distance.”
Crocker issued the following statement to Queerty regarding this morning’s Queerty post and operation:
I do not like to see my baby steps in facial feminization to be trivialized. This isn’t about getting a Hollywood phase. This is a part of a journey for me. A journey I do not want given attention to by readers and editors who only see me as a joke. This is very serious to me and the beginning of procedures to come to match who I am on the inside.

If you don’t have anything interesting to write, don’t con your readers with a misleading title. The use of the word “rush” implies something gone wrong, when in fact nothing went wrong and therefore there is no story, besides you wanting to gossip about Chris Crocker’s filler injections. Talk about being basic. I will say that this: “If someone shows their true colors, don’t try to repaint them” was a nice quote.

Newsflash For Queerty:
Getting a bit of filler injected into one’s lips does not qualify to be called Surgery. It can be done with local anesthetic cream, a few needle pricks and takes just a few minutes. Calling Chris’s procedure lip augmentation surgery is just silly and is deliberately dishonest.
