Do you think dating sucks? Well, try doing it when you’re a super busy state lawmaker and arguably one of the highest profile LGBTQ elected officials in the country who is constantly fending off homophobic attacks by Republicans while fighting for equality and lookin’ cute while doing so.

In a dejected Facebook post shared yesterday, Pennsylvania State Rep. Brian Sims wrote: “DATING: Trying to find love during a global pandemic is pretty complicated most days. Yeah I want to go to movies and restaurants again too, but talk to me about holding hands, weekend adventures, and meeting my dog.”

When someone asked whether he thought being a celebrity hindered his dating prospects, the 41-year-old replied: “I think it’s probably just another thing that impacts my life and therefore my love life. Some days it’s ok, most days it’s not.”

That makes use sad.

OK, let’s not all flood Sims’ DMs at the same time, but, seriously, can somebody please give this man some love? He deserves it! There is absolutely no reason why he shouldn’t have someone to hold his hand, meet his dog, and take him on weekend adventures!

Now, how about a looksy at Brian’s Instagram page just because?
