“I wanted nothing more than to be able to finish this project and help honor the legacy of Freddie Mercury and Queen, but Fox would not permit me to do so because I needed to temporarily put my health, and the health of my loved ones, first….Bohemian Rhapsody is a passion project of mine. With fewer than three weeks to shoot remaining, I asked Fox for some time off so I could return to the U.S. to deal with pressing health matters concerning one of my parents. This was a very taxing experience, which ultimately took a serious toll on my own health. Unfortunately, the studio was unwilling to accommodate me and terminated my services. This was not my decision and it was beyond my control.”— Bryan Singer, giving some context to the surprising news that he’d been fired from the production of Bohemian Rhapsody. What he didn’t address were the rumors of on-set chaos that many believe also contributed his being let go.

Lets put it in context. When everyone on this set and others are complaining about the same thing ie you constantly showing up late and your no show’s you’ve got a problem. That along with being a child molester.

I don’t like him. I was a fan of his for what he did with the X-men movies and how that connected to his being a gay director. X2 featured the X-men standing up to a Bush-like president during a time when Bush was interrupting TV just to let gay people know he would do whatever he could to obstruct gay marriage.
Then, a few years ago, he was seen making out with a woman then he’s having a baby with another one. Then he’s asked about it & oooohhh yeaaaah totally slipped his mind that he’s actually bisexual. So instead of coming out as bi & representing he cashed in on being this edgy gay director- effectively stabbing both groups in the back.
Also, he’s just a dirtbag with young men, I don’t know that he’s a pedophile or rapist but he definitely is big daddy Singer to a whole slew of pretty boys. He comes off extremely sleazy to me.
PinkoOfTheGange
That seems like an accurate description except you left out he is a big PItA on set on his best days.
I think he has always been careful with the age of his paramours. But only time will tell.

Sleazy like old men pawing teen age girls? And he has never been accused of being a male predator though one mother on an early movie of his got her son to accuse him of charges that were never proven. He likes pretty men, young yes, but not under age, and if I had his talent and money I’d get myself some younger company!
ChrisK
That makes sense if you put blinders on.

He was actually involved in 3 lawsuits where underage boys accused him of rape.
If I recall, in 1 of the suits he settled, 1 was dismissed, for the third he claimed to have proven he wasn’t in the country at the time, but in keep in mind that the rest of the accused were all extremely close friends and business partners – all of which were caught up in the end.
One of the boys accusing him was the kid who played Pyro in the original Xmen – A kid that completely left the industry afterwards.
And those issues have been going on for *years*. When Xmen Apocalypse came out, he was involved in another scandal to the point that he left out of all of the publicity events.
So this isn’t Weinstein level of amount of victims, but he’s list is substantial

It doesn’t have to be either-or, it can be both-and. He sounds like he was a nightmare on set, and he had to address the ill health of his parents. Even if the studio cut him some slack in the case of his ill parents, his boorish behavior towards the film’s main actor and others may have given the people in charge no other options.

Buh, bye dearest child predator and troubled bi-sexual ilk. Best of luck in your journey of healing with industry bro Harvey Weinstein.

I agree. I mean how can we point the finger at things like Moore if we turn a blind eye just because he’s one of us. Singers defenders are exactly the same as Moore’s as well.

what about that rabid sexual assaulter George Takei? Why does this site refuse to cover him???

And to repeat a comment, remember, there was an out of the closet star of a show about an out gay kid in school, and the star, Noah Galvin stated in an interview that Bryan Singer “Diddled young boys”, and Hollywood turned on him, and his show was cancelled soon after.
Singer has been doing this for decades. Remember, this quote from an article from 2000
“According to Alex Burton, the unknown who played the Human Torch Pyro in Singer s first X-Men blockbuster, he was given the part after a hot-tub session with the director at a Hollywood party. Bryan created that role especially for me, says Burton, who went on to act in exactly zero films post-X-Men.”
