Did San Francisco Democrats (including State Assemblyman Tom Ammiano) scream “You lie!” at Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger when he made an unannounced (but invited) visit to a Democratic fundraiser in San Francisco? Or was it “Kiss my faggot ass?” Actually, it was both. And that last comment was probably deserved, given Schwarzenegger’s reluctance to create Harvey Milk Day. So really, Arnold, kiss all our faggot asses.

I normally don’t celebrate rude behavior, but there’s a big difference between heckling a President who’s addressing a joint session of Congress and booing a Governor who crashes the opposing party’s fundraising event–he kinda asked for that. Plus, for all his talk of bipartisanship and doing what’s best for Cah-lee-vornya, he’s been an unmitigated disaster, and the state is broke, hemoraging talent, drying up and on fire while he smokes his smelly stogies. So, yeah: Boooo.

Willie Brown is a disgrace to San Francisco, an embarrassment, and a lackey for the elites who hijacked our city and kicked out the working/middle class. The fact he brought this disgrace of a Governor to a Dem fundraiser in SF is not surprising at all. What is surprising is how Democrats showed a backbone and stood up to him. Then again, we are talking about Tom Ammiano and Mark Leno, two of the only honest leaders in San Francisco… oh and Bevan Dufty our next Mayor!! Would have loved to have heard his input.
Its times like these I wish San Francisco seceded from the state and become a micro-state or better yet secede from America and become an Independent Republic.

remember though, he is one of the people most responsible for forcing large corporations to offer domestic partner benefits to gay partners. He said that any company doing business with the city of San Francisco had to have them. Several Airlines that flew into SF airport or had offices there said they would sue, he said “Go Ahead” and most ended up caving. Just pointing out that bit of history.

@the Swimmer– we would never survive. Service personnel can’t afford to live here- we need the giant flux of folks from Oakland and Berkeley, etc. each day to fill the hard-working, poor paying jobs like teachers, nurses, etc. (and we need them to go home at 5)

Ah but see you’re wrong. If San Francisco ever became an independent Republic, Oakland and Berkeley would join us! In fact, anything attached to BART would automatically be a part of the new Bay Area Nation! Our President would be Bevan Dufty. Secretary of State would be Mark Leno. Tom Ammiano would be Prime Minister and the City Hall would be transformed into a “House of Lords” with elected representatives from all around Bay Area.
Truth is, SF would take back ALL the income taxes it gives to the Federal government and use them to rid poverty, provide state-of-the-art public transit excellency, and promote a liberal agenda that would be the envy of the world. We would welcome immigrants from all over who would build up our cities and make us a prosperous nation. City-states tend to be the most successful countries.

Schwarzenegger is the governor of your state and no matter how much one disagrees with him to act in such a classless manner is repulsive. While his actions with gays are intolerable California is on the edge of bankruptcy so while some are complaining about that 3 day furlough I am sure the state has more to worry about least California does go bankrupt and all the state workers loose their hard earned pensions, and violent riots become the norm. California was a mismanaged state now they are suffering serious consequences it wont be easy but I wish yall the best.

The phrase that appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle was “kiss my gay ass”, although Fitz’s and QUEERTY’s version seems to match what is on the soundtrack of the video.
Schwarzenegger quipped about sleeping with a Democrat every night (meaning his wife) and Tom quipped that he had slept with a lot of f___ing Democrats. Mark Leno acted as the adult and actually talked about serious issues – his only comment about the wisecracks were that emotions were running high and that some drama in San Francisco is not unusual.

I was sitting about 3 feet from Tom Ammiano. He did not say “faggot ass” I can assure you. He said “gay ass.” Somebody else, whose voice sounds nothing like Tom Ammiano’s, said “faggot ass”.
