CBS Accused Of Mocking Christianity With Neil Patrick Harris Super Bowl Ads

neil-patrick-harris-eyeblack“America’s Independent News Network”, WND, claims CBS is mocking Tim Tebow, and in effect Christianity itself, with new Super Bowl ads featuring openly gay actor Neil Patrick Harris.

CBS, the television network airing the big game this year, is now using an outspoken homosexual actor to mimic Tim Tebow’s style of trumpeting messages in eyeblack on his face,” said the site. “One football fan who watched the CBS promo Sunday made the connection between Harris and Tebow, saying, ‘They’re pushing a gay agenda by using him, and they’re mocking Christians at the same time.'”

Speaking of pushing an agenda, WND also publishes the magazine, Whistleblower, featuring a cover proclaiming Barack ObamaThe First Muslim President.”

WND even included an unnecessarily long poll asking if CBS is mocking Tebow and/or Christianity with the majority of voters (all 352 of them) choosing “Yes, and every effort should be made to boycott CBS and its advertisers.”

Now when a promo featuring Beyoncé wearing similar eyeblack debuted, no one accused CBS of pushing a fierce diva agenda, but with “an outspoken homosexual actor” it’s automatically an imaginary attack on an entire religion. Of course, for some football fans Tebow represented the second coming. For New York Jets fans, however,  NPH would probably make a more desirable quarterback.
