Paying $20,000 to get something in the wedding gift bag of celebrity chef (read: Oprah) Art Smith and artist Jesus Salguerio almost sounds preferable to actually attending: The slimmed down foodie and his new husband got married after forcing guests to take a 4-mile run with them starting at Smith’s D.C. haunt Art and Soul and ending at the Lincoln Memorial, where they had their ceremony.

get the info correct. as a guest at the wedding nobody was “forced” to run. if you didn’t want to attend the run you simply went to the restaurant. as for the gift bag I didn’t receive one and neither did the other guests from what I could see. Once again the information is incorrect. Spending time with the happy couple and their friends and family was gift enough.

Congrats to the happy couple. I saw Art in Chicago about 3 years ago and at that time he looked like he couldn’t *walk* 4 miles no less run that far. Good for him on getting in shape!
