In today’s episode of fear wrapped in hate dressed as religion, a Lansing Charter Township, Michigan man felt the need to exit the Fireside Restaurant to follow another patron out and let him know just how he feels about this whole “gay thing.”
“I’m an American, born in America,” the assumedly American man tells Isiah David Tweedie.
“I’m an American too, honey,” Tweedie rationally replies.
“You’re a fucking faggot,” says the man, indicating that by his measurements, gay and American are mutually exclusive.
He goes on to share this real wisdom:
“God’s law — Leviticus, Leviticus — you should be put to death.”
Say what you will about his message, but the man does make a good argument. Someone was paying attention in debate class.
For his part, Tweedie handles himself pretty well, considering the hateful bile he’s up against. Watch here:
litper
Again, you can clearly hear it’s not a gay guy, it’s a trans activist.
SportGuy
Wow, and here I thought that Michigan was the cultured capitol of the country!! Everything about Michigan sucks and this guy is the normal citizen there.
Cam
@litper: Huh?
littletwin52000
@litper: still lgbt regardless. No ones equal until we’re all equals.
Stache99
The fear is clearly knowing you like dick yourself. It comes out as irrational hate cloaked with cherry picked bible versus.
Stache99
@litper: I have some gay friends that talk that way.
Stache99
Btw. if we still went by Leviticus most everyone would be dead. Very few could live up to. Death penalty versus for just about everything from adultery to disobedient kids.
Stache99
I wonder where he works maintenance for? Be nice to know if his employer shares his views.
litper
@Stache99: they’re not gay. Gay men like men, not sissy limp-wristed girls.
litper
@littletwin52000: T has nothing to do with LGB. T can be LGB but most of them want to be heteros to please the hetero-worshipping society. T is closer to ex-gay than gay.
Carrie Bradley
@litper: you can’t and shouldn’t go around judging a book by it’s cover….just as you shouldn’t judge people but what you hear and don’t see….just because his voice sound like that doesn’t make him (TRANS)and FYI….the voice you hear in this video is my friend dear Isiah Tweedie and he is in fact a Gay Guy who just so happens to be a Drag Queen at Partners Bar in Battle Creek MI, and that is his god given voice….and I along with many many of his friends love him just the way he is 🙂
Miss Understood
@litper: You are as awful as the guy in the video. You may think you are a tough guy but you are actually a wimp. Queens who go against the grain are some of the bravest people on earth. People like you used to stay hidden in the closet. I think we would all be better off if you did,
litper
Drag queens, trans women… what’s the difference? Freaks with gender issues shouldn’t be the part of the gay community. They have been trying to turn the gay rights into freak rights since 1960s…
litper
@Miss Understood: it’s brave to conform to hetero norms and be a pseudo-“straight” “woman” instead of a gay man.
litper
@Miss Understood: ???
james_in_cambridge
@litper: Please go die a painful, horrible death. Please.
BBellairs
@SportGuy: Michigan may not be the culture capitol of the country, but I am here to tell you; this man is NOT a true representative of my state. I was born here and have been out for 28 years and have never had a problem. My late Uncle was also openly gay and, to my knowledge, also never ran into anyone like this douche. Not everything about Michigan sucks.
litper
@james_in_cambridge: why do you have that horrible athletic man on your pic? Why don’t you change it to a pic of some “brave” womanoid who want to turn gay rights into a freak show?
Carrie Bradley
@james_in_cambridge:the difference is transgender is the state of one’s gender identity (self-identification as woman, man, neither or both) or gender expression not matching one’s assigned sex (identification by others as male, female or intersex based on physical/genetic sex).[1] Transgender is independent of sexual orientation; transgender people may identify as heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual, polysexual, or asexual; some may consider conventional sexual orientation labels inadequate or inapplicable to them. The precise definition for transgender is changing but nevertheless includes:
“Of, relating to, or designating a person whose identity does not conform unambiguously to conventional notions of male or female gender roles, but combines or moves between these.”[2]
“People who were assigned a sex, usually at birth and based on their genitals, but who feel that this is a false or incomplete description of themselves.”[3]
“Non-identification with, or non-presentation as, the sex (and assumed gender) one was assigned at birth.”[4]
A transgender individual may have characteristics that are normally associated with a particular gender, identify elsewhere on the traditional gender continuum, or exist outside of it as other, agender, genderqueer, or third gender. Transgender people may also identify as bigender or along several places on either the traditional transgender continuum or the more encompassing continuums that have been developed in response to recent, significantly more detailed studies.[5] Furthermore, many transgender people experience a period of identity development that includes better understanding one’s self-image, self-reflection, and self-expression. More specifically, the degree to which individuals feel genuine, authentic, and comfortable within their external appearance and accept their genuine identity is referred to as transgender congruence.[6] and A drag queen is a man who dresses, and often acts, with exaggerated femininity. There are many different possible purposes to drag, personal reasons for doing drag will differ for individual drag queens. It is often done for the purpose of self-expression, performing and entertaining, and can also be mainly important as a creative outlet, a means of self-exploration or a way to make cultural statements. There are many kinds of drag artists and they vary greatly in dedication, from professionals who have starred in films to people who just try it once. Drag queens also vary by class and culture and can vary even within the same cities.
While drag is very much associated with gay men and gay culture, there are drag artists of all genders and sexualities who do drag for various reasons or purposes. Generally drag queens are males who dress and act in a female gender role, often exaggerating certain characteristics (such as make-up and eyelashes) for comic, dramatic or satirical effect. Other drag performers include drag kings, who are women who perform in male roles, faux queens, who are women who dress in an exaggerated style to emulate drag queens, and faux kings, who are men who dress to impersonate drag kings.
The term drag queen usually refers to people who dress in drag for the purpose of performing, whether singing or lip-synching, dancing, participating in events such as gay pride parades, drag pageants, or at venues such as cabarets and discotheques. In the United Kingdom, alongside traditional drag work such as shows and performances, many drag queens engage in “mix-and-mingle” or hosting work at night clubs or at private parties and events. Drag is a part of Western gay culture.
Carrie Bradley
Sorry James that was meant for Litper
Carrie Bradley
@litper: you should do a little reading before you go spouting off at the mouth and stuff you clearly know nothing about!!!
Scribe38
@SportGuy: @BBellairs: I live in Michigan and yea it sucks (except for a few liberal cities). From the state take over by the GOP, elected officials doing every thing they can to fight marriage equality, and the gay-trans-bashing that has happened at Pride and Southeastern Mi, this state has become an fucked up place to be gay. The minute I finish my degree I am getting the hell out of here.
Cam
@litper:
You all notice what litper has done here don’t you?
A post about a horribly anti-gay bigot has been completely derailed and he has managed to deflect from the fact that there is still massive anti-gay bigotry out there.
Well done troll.
Carrie Bradley
@litper: im not going to sit here all night and debate with you….you have a right to your opinion and your views…..and so do I…..and as a LESBIAN woman, I think your as delusional as the man in the video….beside are you even Gay,Lesbian or Bi? by your comments I’d say NONE of the ABOVE
Carrie Bradley
@Cam: BINGO!!!!!!! Cam you hit the nail on the head 🙂
Carrie Bradley
its a pretty sad when we as a LGBT community can’t come together and work together to stop the bullying, the judgement, discrimination and H8!…..and we have to go off TOPIC….to Judge people we don’t even know with out having all the facts
litper
@Cam: just like trans women derailed the fight for gay rights for decades into the fight for freak rights, and most recently into the fight to show pen1ses to little girls in the public bathrooms.
littletwin52000
@Cam: You are absolutely right. Litper you get no more kibble and bits from me.
gjg64
OK QT instead of just throwing this up, please give us the background. Of course the guy was a nasty piece of shit but I’d like to know the backstory and what’s happened since. Was he an employee, have the owners commented? What’s the story, not the gossip?
GreatGatsby2011
@litper: Go back on your meds. You’re making Michele Bachmann look sane.
DarkZephyr
I say we all just ignore Litter from now on. If we don’t feed the trolls, they shrivel up and die.
Saint Law
@litper: This reads like an admission.
Tell us, litper, for how long have you wanted to show your penis to little girls in public restrooms?
mikeg
@Cam: Well said Cam, I completely agree with you.
Arkansas Razorback
@litper: I can agree with some of your POV. I dislike the automatic association with “femme” that lots of straight people still have. I’ll never forget the girl in college, who, when she found out I was gay said “Oh that explains why the house is decorated so nicely”. My roommate’s girlfriend had spruced the place up. I understand being angry with stereotypes, but I don’t think this is the right place to attempt to create distance from the T community.
james_in_cambridge
@litper: ’cause that’s Brad Pitt at the peak of his beauty during Fight Club and he makes me crazy, that’s why. I like men, yes, but that doesn’t mean I hate anyone who’s different from me like you do you dumb fuck.
james_in_cambridge
@Carrie Bradley: S’okay Carrie. But you’re wasting your time trying to use reason and logic with litper. He’s either a complete moron or a complete troll, it’s hard to tell. Either way, he’s a waste of space.
Dxley
Why do you people think gay people are inextricably linked with transgendered people and drag queens? Trans people should have their own community and not be affiliated with gays. A man who likes men, and a “man” who’s a biological woman are two different things and should be treated as such. These trans people are taking over our community and get more representation and exposure than gays, lesbians and bisexuals combined. Litper is absolutely right! I wish I had the option of voting up his comment. I wholeheartedly echo his sentiments!
DarkZephyr
@Dxley: Why would you “wholeheartedly echo his sentiments” when you can clearly see how very incredibly loathed he is at Queerty.com? Is it your goal to be just as loathed (congrats you are very close)? How much d*ck do you think you can get before you trick that female into marrying you in a few years if you are a complete douche bag?
@Arkansas Razorback: 1) You may dislike the association with “femme” but does that justify being a douche about feminine gay men? 2) This video is not related to Trans* issues. The guy in the video is a GAY *MAN*.
Jesus Christ, the gay community is the one place where feminine boys who often got their @$$es kicked at school (some being bullied to suicide) when in their teens feel safe, and now we have all these “masc4masc” bro-men trying to make then feel low for simply being who they are. Do you support that? Why did you even MENTION that you could identify in ANY part with *anything* one of the most hated douche bags on Queerty.com has said? Arkansas Razorback, this is becoming a disappointingly increasing occurrence around here and within the gay community and it is NOT a pretty thing. Please don’t add to it, OK?
By the way, you don’t have to be “femme” to have good taste and know how to make a place look decent. Just as being “masc” doesn’t have to automatically mean slob. You may be strangely offended that gay men are usually associated with good taste, but I’m sure not.
litper
@DarkZephyr: so you don’t like people with a different opinion and those who don’t bow down to your trans overlords must be loathed by the gay community?
Trans/femme people are not “who they are”, they’re putting an act, they are the victims of trans activists who detest homosexuality and want to turn gay men into hetero women. That’s just another form of ex-gay activism and it has been very successful in turning nomal gay men away from gay identity, because none of them wants to be viewed as a woman. Call it misogyny, but that’s the harsh reality, and it’s not gonna change in a long time.
DarkZephyr
@litter: Cam has exposed you for what you truly are, that is all that needs to be said. You are dismissed.
scotshot
@litper You’re as boring as the rest of the hetero Trolls who can’t stay away from this site. They say those who scream the loudest are the ones who want it the most. I.E. GOTP Congressmen with “wide stances”. Tell us, do you masturbate to orgasm every time you write your silly posts?
(yawn)
GreatGatsby2011
@litper: So you can’t stand feminine gay man because they are “hetero-worshiping”. Does that mean you love feminine straight men and masculine straight women because they are “homo-worshiping”?
litper
@GreatGatsby2011: feminine straight men do not agressively force their effeminacy on all straight men, just because of their sexuality.
Dxley
@ DarkZephyr: Oh, but “trick” is such a horrible word!
Lvng1tor
People stop responding to Lipter he’s in in to get you going…probably touching himself everytime we respond….stop giving this troll the gratification.
@Scribe38: I just moved back to Mi after being gone for 23yrs on the east coast (NYC and PHL) yes Mi has it’s issues but if you look at the news there are jagwads EVERYWHERE in this country. I agree that in the years I’ve been gone the Repub take over of the politics concerns me but I live in GR and volunteer with the Network and have been having a really good time. It’s not the state…it’s some loud jerks. You can’t run from them they are everywhere…even when you cross a state line…any state line.
YouGoGurl
@Carrie Bradley: “…who just so happens to be a Drag Queen at Partners Bar in Battle Creek MI.” Quelle surprise! LOL Not judgin’, just sayin’
Carrie Bradley
@YouGoGurl: ?????
GreatGatsby2011
@litper: Do you you check under your bed for effeminate gay men every night before going to sleep?
Be ever vigilant, otherwise they’ll sneak their secret “Femme Serum” into your domestic beer when you’re not looking and you’ll be be farting rainbows and glitter by the next full moon.
DarkZephyr
@GreatGatsby2011: That would be an improvement over what he currently farts!
Black Pegasus
One kick to the teeth would have ended this confrontation for me.
