Isaiah Washington who? —-just kidding. I agree..he’s irrelevant (but thanks for the cash).

How convenient^^. When the homophobe is black(about97%) turn your back. Guess all those GLBT sensitivity classes or whatever shit he attended did nothing for him. Did anyone really expected anything different?

Churchill-y, what the fuck are you talking about? Did you read the article? Or did you just see dark skin and start ranting. I guess we should just be glad you wrote an entire post without reminding us of Obamas middle name.

    Hey people,
The guy fucked up. Everyone has issues and things to overcome.
So give the guy credit for trying. Just remember, not only is his money helpful but his vote is as well. Wouldn’t it be nice if some of the homophobes in the world would at least try to make changes
and atone for their wrongs. We scream about the shit that comes out of peoples mouths, expecting them to change and then when somebody tries we want to criticize? I say thanks to Mr. Washington and please remember to vote for us as well.

    July 18, 2008 at 1:07pm
  • Tom

I agree Marcus. We have all said and thought things that we later regret and a person who recognizes that and then seeks to change for the better is a sign of intelligence. Unfortunately, there are those who lack the necessary intelligence and can never learn or change. Right, Church?

OK, loathsome as he is, he scores a point here. Thanks Isaiah. We still don’t like you though.

Once a homophobe, always a homophobe. What’s Jesse “Barack’s talkin’ down to the niggers” Jackson going to do to make amends with his bruvas and sistas??

    July 18, 2008 at 9:07pm
  • Mr C

    Marcus, Thanks alot I agree,

And to some of you the way you go off on Isaiah. when a WHITE actor says it makes sure your anger rings the same.

Churchycicken, You forgot to take your your Riddlin

    RPCV, It’s cocktail time!

It’s not just the word he used and the way he used it, it’s his behavior afterwards. Look how long it took him to have to pay the price for what he said. Did all of these supposedly fair-minded people calling for forgiveness for IW share the same forgiveness for Don Imus or Michael Richards? Of course not, because you’re hypocrites for espousing the pretense that “racism and homophobia are bad” when the logic you’re really working off of is “racism is always worse than homophobia.”

    July 19, 2008 at 1:07am
  • Mr C

Dilroy, If you’re directing that at me. I can forgive everyone. Because having hate balled up in you doesn’t make sense and is a WASTE of energy.

However, When Michael Richards did what he did. That was definitely over the TOP screaming NI&&ER from the stage and over 50 times. I believed that to be anger and him not being racist.

Imus he said it and then tried to flip it back on African Americans but eventually apologized

I’m not excusing Isaiah at all. For it was wrong. It also was wrong how it was portrayed to the public from the media.
He NEVER said anything to T.R Knight it was said to Patrick Dempsey and when T.R went on Ellen and BODLY lied about it being said in his face this was truly a PR stunt on his part. That was his moment and it was for him to basked in the glow of all the controversy.

Anytime anyone uses negative slurs if they are racial or bias IS WRONG. And even us LGBT should be aware of that when we are in the club, bars calling one another FAGGOT, COCKSUCKER, etc.

    You all know the drill.
    These things start with US!

Who cares…But thanks for the money…I do not want his face again in tv or movies in the future.

He is giving money to help us maintain what is probably gays greatest victory so far. To stand up and give money to KEEP gay marriage legal in a state as large as California is a huge statement that probably invites as much controversy to his door step as did his regrettable choice of words did. I would also like to see a list of Hollywood actors that are giving money and making a statement for this cause. Personally I think he has chosen a great way to show the world that he is trying to grow as a person. All of us are ignorant and stupid about something and maybe thats what his was and why he has fumbled along the way to getting it right. Personally, if a person tries to change and do something to repair any harm they may have caused I am going to give them every benefit of the doubt. i just say to Mr. Washington thank you for your amends and to remember that an unwillingness to forgive is their problem, not yours.

    July 19, 2008 at 3:07pm
  • RPCV

Mr. C : But will yours?????????

    July 19, 2008 at 4:07pm
  • Dilroy

Mr.C, you absolutely have shown your colors and you are absolutely doing exactly what you said you weren’t doing, making excuses for Isaiah using all the same rhetoric used by his defenders; He never said that to him, the media got it wrong, it wasn’t as bad as Michael Richards, homophobia isn’t as bad as racism, etc.

You just did everything I pointed out in my post so even if I hadn’t included you in my criticism you jumped right in and validated my point.

Maybe if Michael Richards & Don Imus were handsome black men our view would be different.

It doesn’t bother me that the Issiah/homophobia apologists are being dishonest with themselves, but when they go out and minimize homophobia by declaring as much, much more deserving of forgiveness than racism, you are sending a message to general society that it’s ok for them to feel the same way.

    Thanks for all your help.

    July 19, 2008 at 6:07pm

    Mr C
I disagree about the use of faggot.
If some LGBTs choose to use reclaimed words used to harm us (ie. faggot or dyke or queer)
    we’ve earned that right.

    July 20, 2008 at 12:07am
  • Mr C

    Dilroy,

You misunderstood me totally, or decided to take your own meaning to it. The ending of my post simply says…and I’ll repeat it again.

QUOTE: Anytime anyone uses negative slurs if they are racial or bias IS WRONG: ENDQUOTE

    ENOUGH SAID!

And Mark, You have NOT earned that right when the use becomes offensive and it does depending on the situation.

    July 20, 2008 at 2:07am
  • Dilroy

Mr C, when you contradict yourself like Obama or Issiah, you don’t get to stand on one of the many contradictory quotes you’ve made like it is some stand of integrity: you’ve still contradicted yourself for dubious reasons…assuming you knew that before it was pointed out to you.

Your disclaimers are as sincere as Issiah’s espousing tolerance in the same breath he expresses homophobia.

The fact remains; in all your posts on the site you have given homophobia a pass when it came from a black person while deeming racism against blacks inexcusable. You’ve proven your bias.

Fair-minded people can judge for themselves what your true motives are.

    July 20, 2008 at 4:07am
  • Mr C

Dilroy, That is hardly not TRUE at all.

    My true motives are??????????????????
Well they are to be fair minded in ALL things that is what they are.
However, I don’t stand for when people on here begin the hate slurs toward the African American community over issues that other races have as well when it comes to LGBT. But we give them a PASS and now Blacks are the poster children for such behavior?

If you read my other posts you’ll see who I respond to and why when it comes to anything that offends me I am not having it.PERIOD

So please before you try to to claim that I give Blacks a pass for homophobia that is a LIE.
I don’t tolerate it from anyone and if you read my posts on other topics and see. Where Churchill-Y and RPCV feels the need to be so VICIOUS minded towrds Blacks as if we are the creators of eveything negative that happens to gays and then begin to spill nasty venomous statements about Blacks then I respond…With no apologies.

So before you begin to play a psychological mind game with me Don’t go there. You can’t find 1 post where I defend Blacks in regards to homophobia It’s SIMPLY wrong.

And if you’re really against all of it and fair and balance then when you read my posts why don’t you read your brothers posts(Churchill-Y and RPCV) and chastise them, or do you agree with them? Because if you do that’s very hypocritical.

So please don’t go there. Like I said again
Anytime anyone uses negative slurs if they are racist or bias IS WRONG:

You’ll never find a post where I start with negative statements if they are racist, or bias NEVER that’s not me ad I don’t DEFEND it either.

I only give a RE-action to the actions of other with rabid mouths who try it!

    Plain and Simple

    July 20, 2008 at 9:07am
  • RPCV

Mr. C: Explain one thing to me. If blacks can call each other nigger (including Jesse “Barack’s talking down to the niggers” Jackson, then why can’t EVERYONE call blacks nigger? If gays want to call each other “faggot” that’s their prerogative, and it should be acceptable for EVERYONE to do it. Same logic. I don’t have a problem calling blacks “nigger,” nor do I have a problem with anyone calling me “faggot.” What people think or say doesn’t bother me a bit. WHy should it you? Think about it…….

    July 20, 2008 at 10:07pm
  • RPCV

Mr. C: Oh, one other thing. Thanks for the reminder – it’s time for my cocktail!!

    July 20, 2008 at 10:07pm
  • Mr C

Um my dear it’s wrong PERIOD and I don’t speak for all Blacks. So no it shouldn’t be used. And I’m not worried about you saying it because I don’t believe you have enough nerve to go to anyone in your neighborhood and say it. Online sure who sees you we’re all behind screens.

And just like I’ll tell you and any other person regardless of race, creed, or sexual persuasion. My name is not NIGGER so lets not go there on that tip. There is nothing to think about.

We weren’t raised to use it so we don’t

    July 21, 2008 at 12:07am
  • RPCV

Mr. C: But, it’s constantly being used, even by the boldest icons of the black community!! Like, duh….

Oh, and thanks, again. I’m going to take my cocktail early tonight just to be sure…….

    July 21, 2008 at 7:07pm
  • Mr C

So I guess now Jesse will be your whipping boy? That is the only one who has.
So how long will you be using this as your supposed new weapon?

    July 22, 2008 at 1:07am
  • Dilroy

Mr C, Jesse? Whipping boy? Only one who has?

Oh dear. Go off the deep end much?

    July 22, 2008 at 2:07am
  • Mr C

Just read the exchanges between me and RPCV before you start with the Bullshit.

OKAY! There is no DEEP END AT ALL!

    July 22, 2008 at 7:07am
  • Dilroy

I have read the exchanges you have with every troll who baits you and I’m embarrassed for you.

Too bad my last post was taken down.
