At the risk of sounding like a Palin supporter, which I am not (Though her resemblance to Karen Walker entertains me.), I’d encourage the reading of the entire article which will reveal that this is a .5 on the scandal scale, if that.
The trouble with biased “reporting” that supports a predetermined point of view is, that when, heaven forbid, the time for reasoned, factual debate about actual policy comes, those who have relied on bias have no credibility, and no real discussion occurs. Feh! Wake me up when it’s over.

But what people do not understand is that is the very ones who “preach” about evil, the end times etc. etc. that are actually the anti-christ, remember we warned that we would be tricked. But keep up your faith people because after the year 2012 you will see something new and wonderful emerge, where all that chose to love will know a joy never known before. So go ahead, vote for Obama it is the right thing to do. But do not be dismayed for long if he does not win. These evil ones who walk in sheeps clothing must be allowed to destroy themselves along with their followers so that a new order may reign. Yes, I know I sound like a lunatic and that is understandable that you think as such, but deep in your hearts you hope that I am right. Hold in one hand the possibitlity that I am a lunatic, but in the other hand hold that I give you the truth. What ever faith you can give, no matter how small, how doubtful will help bring about what has been promised us for centuries.

I did read the entire article and I think you are correct. But what Queerty is doing doesn’t really qualify as reporting. In fact, the total of what Queerty did was add two quotation marks around what was published in The Washington Post. They selected the most damaging quotations from the original article.
If they had clipped this part of the story “Gov. Palin has spent far less on her personal travel than her predecessor: $93,000 on airfare in 2007, compared with $463,000 spent the year before by her predecessor, Frank Murkowski. He traveled often in an executive jet that Palin called an extravagance during her campaign. She sold it after she was sworn into office.” the reaction would be different.
There is still some scandal in that “the state attorney general’s office produced an opinion saying laws then in effect [during the Murkowski administration] required reimbursement for spousal travel” which Palin has not done. And governors before Murkowski “gave a direction to commissioners if they were ever in their house, whether it was Juneau or elsewhere, they were not to get a per diem because, clearly, it is and it looks like a scam — you pay yourself to live at home.”

Agreed, Pearls. I hesitated before using the word “reporting” in this context. I certainly don’t come to Queerty for my news, or the pictures — Well, okay, maybe for the pictures.
I think at this point in time, if I encountered a thoughtful article or discussion about actual issues, I would first suspect it was just parody.
