Cher brought it down a notch this week with the release of her latest ABBA cover, “One of Us.”
It’s certainly a departure from her fist-pumping previous covers, and Cher herself used the crying emoji to describe the tune on her ever-magnetic Twitter account. Aww.
The song was originally released in 1981 on ABBA’s final studio album, The Visitors.
Cher has also released her versions of “Gimme Gimme Gimme” and “S.O.S.”, the latter of which got a full-fledged video this week.
Check out her latest, “One of Us”, below, followed by her other ABBA covers to date:
Cher’s full ABBA cover album is set for release on September 28.

Been awhile since Cher, let alone ABBA, let alone any song has brought tears to my eyes… Wonderful job on the vocals

Cher, Madonna, Judy Garland and Lisa, Barbra Streisand, etc. are all so gay.

I’ve always thought that there is no God. Definitely not. But there are certainly many goddesses. LOL

Well a big named artist quit writing her own music and started doing a bunch of covers of ABBA. I’ll wait for her own music to start coming out again. Not into cover bands.
