Chi Chi LaRue’s newest title features five porn performers who later went on to serve time for some rather distinctly unsexy crimes: murder, attempted murder, burglary, theft and rape.
Criminal Cocks (NSFW) features scenes with Marcus Allen, Tim Barnett, Ryan Idol, Tim Lowe and Tommy Saxx (among other non-lawbreakers) stitched together from Chi Chi’s huge holdings in Rascal and All Worlds Video. The consensus among porn bloggers (NSFW) seems to be that it was in poor taste for the high priestess of adult video to reissue a compilation DVD that used their heinous crimes as a marketing tool.
But what do you think, readers? Has Chi Chi gone too far or is it just some harmless marketing? Be the judge in the comments section.
Then check out our roundup of seven porn stars who have turned to crime.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

Yes, it is in bad taste, but do you expect anything less? This is the porn world we’re talking about, not a lady’s tea social!!!

“CRIEM DOESN’T PAY? ”
Well, supposedly “CRIME” doesn’t pay…don’t know about “CRIEM”
You outsourcing your editing to North Korea or something???
HM
Ha! (spits up breakfast)
Wait, the same industry that for decades has wrapped a Machiavellian arm around the shoulders of every sinewy piece of damaged goods, every kid fresh off the bus from getting kicked out of his house for being gay, every recreational drug user with induced fantasies of greatness, every hottie that didn’t get a callback from the other side of the hills, and every lost soul just looking for their 15 minutes….then coaxed them to disrobe, and told them their real worth in life was how many inches they could take up the ass, followed inevitably by coldly dumping them, and, when their poisoned corpses are found in some $300 a month cookie cutter apartment complex, dedicating an entire 15 seconds or so of deep sympathy, lifting a vodka and oj in their memory while eyeing the 18 year old newbie across the pool………………..
…is NOW…supposed to grow some decency?
Fuck that. Brilliant move, Chi Chi. Wish ya could have gotten Tim Lowe to bottom more though….
Caleb
@HM: Wow, HM, now I will never be able to masturbate to my favorite XXX videos. Best post . . . . EVER!!!
NCMan
@hf2hvit: You make the mistake of assuming there was ever an editing function that could be outsourced. LOL

What would be the more interesting now would be watching a taped meeting of Chi Chi and the families and what still-living victims there are of these guys, and hearing what kind of taste they think this is. What percentage of the income this piece of art might earn will be going to the woman Idol smacked in the head with a toilet tank cover, or the women Barnett raped?
Sceth
@dvlaries: Hopefully, none. The victims don’t matter. Just enjoy the criminal penes and be happy.
Jaroslaw
Perhaps it is one way for the criminals to make some honest money?
ggreen
She goes to far every time she releases a “new” video. She has been making the same video over and over for the last 20+ years. Tired and formulaic with the same lame direction.
B
Well, I guess he could donate the profits to a fund to help the victims (for those who weren’t killed) or their families. Alas, “could” does not mean “will” or even “would”.
G
I don’t really see a problem with it. If there is a demand for this then people will buy it. If not, then it could mean to Chi Chi LaRue that people find this repugnant and they’ll learn. Besides, even ex-cons have to make a living somehow, otherwise crimes might end up repeating themselves (such as living in poverty, stealing, serving time only to be put back out into impoverished conditions and then steal again, and repeat).
PLEASE BE ADVISED: I’m NOT condoning rape or murder or anything like that nor instant forgiveness of the people who commit these crimes.
dvlaries
Tut-tut. What could I have been thinking earlier? Maybe I wasn’t fully awake yet.
*
Doubtlessly, LaRue has a loose mental plan for a golden deluxe three-disc set of the collected Idol works, should he happen to get himself shivved and killed in prison, ready to be raised to ‘martyr’ status.
*
That’ll teach me to forget that in show business the only thing that pays better than having no taste, is having no shame.
Chris
@G: Well, first of all, your argument that these guys have to make a living, completely ignores this situation. These guys did porn, then committed a crime (or just got caught), in that order. The performers were paid long ago for their work, and I doubt there were any residual agreements. Chi Chi Larue is just reissuing old footage, or releasing old footage that was never seen, not creating new footage.
That being said.
A. Anyone who take the time to critique the marketing of a Porn DVD has way too much time on their hands. It’s PORN, not Good Housekeeping.
B. for those saying “They will learn” if it flops. There is no way this can flop. The performers fees were paid long ago, so there is no production cost. A short run of the DVDs is incredibly cheap, as is the printing for the inserts, and that is their only new costs here. They are essentially making new money on old content.
C. I go back to, who looks for social commentary on the cover of a porn DVD. Either you think these guys are hot, and you but the DVD, or you don’t and move on.
@HM: we get it. Porn BAD! Filled with terrible, naughty people of whom you deeply disapprove. To save you from white knighting to the rescue of every wannabe porn star, perhaps just avoid both stories about, and the product of an industry of which you so vehemently despise.
Rockery
Who cares? Aren’t a lot of them criminals anyway? Why would anyone care what thye do in their private lives?
Nat
@Chris:
What was the ‘white knighting’, exactly?
The story that HM told has played out thousands of times – millions of times if the range is extended to prostitution and stripping.
Exploitation might not be inherent to selling sex, but it’s unquestionably endemic.
Aaron
So the same industry who’s “plots” almost always legally constitute some form of sexual violation (like those “hot” scenes where the “straight” guy realizes he enjoys the blowjob just forced on him)? The industry that promote almost nothing but gay-for-pay (a.k.a. making profit off of Bisexual Erasure) on their shitty overpriced websites, glorifies [hard] drug and alcohol usage, and has a body image more warped than the runways of Milan, not to mention all the things HM said, doing this all without any sort of artistic merit?
You’re telling me those sweet, itty bitty sugar dumplings did THIS? Surely, you jest!

This is exactly the reason I pirate porn. Usually I’m somewhat anti-pirating, but I’ll be damned if I ever give my money to the queens who run this tripe. Gay Porn has always been a sleazy thing, and it’s only gotten worse with the internet. I wonder how more infinitely depressing and horrifying ‘Boogie Nights’ would have been were it about Gay Porn?
Oh how disgusting
Wonder if Chi Chi cleared this with the victims or their families? Probably not.
Profiteering off of misery.
Vile. Disgusting. Glorifying murder and other crimes.
Dean
I agree HM and Oh how disgusting. Then again it’s porn and Chi Chi La Rue did you actually expect that he’d be nice or care?
Brandon
I can’t wait to see what Shannon posts about these guys! She’s spot on about men in porn and the porn industry! 😉
Ogre Magi
@Oh how disgusting: Don’t talk about Chi-Chi like that! She is a hero!
Eddie
The human being is always debased in porn. People in porn are displayed as vile, depraved and gross. Now we have criminals that are ex-porn performers: A new low in the business. The same money that – in porn and prostitution – put a price in something supposed to be given and not sold and change a natural act in a vile behavior is the reason ( profit… ) for ” Criminal Cocks ” is being released.
Oh how disgusting
@Ogre Magi: A hero to whom? Gay men who think its cool and hot to commit crimes against others (especially other gay men)?
Grow up.
Derek
@Brandon: Yeah….um…but Brandon…your comments about HIV, medication, barebacking, sex, and just about everything else are SPOT THE F*CK OFF. So hun could you do us all a favor? Please STFU with greater frequency. We thank you.
Your loving husband of almost two decades is one poor b*stard that’s for sure.
Derek
@Oh how disgusting: It would appear that sarcasm is totally lost on you…
Grow down.
Blah, Blah,..huh?
@Chris: Angling for a job in admin? A trippa di zianata, silly boy.
Gurlene
Chi Chi, you go girl. This is America and the only thing you did was take people who knew damn well that they were in front of a camera having anal sex with another man and made money. They (your critics) are too stupid to understand that a business has to make money in order to keep it’s employees employed. Employees in this case DOES include the models who are of age and did agree to the conditions you set.
Get a life people and just sit back and enjoy the show or changed the web page if you do not like it.
Aaron
@Gurlene:
I didn’t realize Ayn Rand was a regular commentator on Queerty!
Listen, I am a ardent Capitalist, and I supporter of the Free Market. However, there’s also a little thing called “ethics”. Something the majority of the porn community (especially the current gay one) has always lacked. What LaRue is doing here is not better than those who sell “Serial Killer Memorabilia”.
If she is so desperate to make money, all she has to do is call up a few of her actors, flip on the DSLR, and have em’ fuck. That’s it. There’s no talent or artistry involved. I say this as a film student and amateur director.
mikeandrewsdantescove
I would say this is in very poor taste. There is nothing sexy about attempted murder.
