It’s been almost two weeks since Cory Monteith’s sudden passing, but Chris Colfer has finally broken silence about his Glee costar and shared a statement through his Instagram.
“I’ll never forget all the laughs we shared or the faces we made after awkward interview questions. Love and miss you, buddy,” Colfer writes.
Colfer joins Naya Rivera, Jane Lynch, Chord Overstreet, Jenna Ushkowitz, Charice and others who have paid public tribute to Monteith, who died July 13 of a toxic combination of heroin and alcohol.
Lea Michele has not yet personally addressed her boyfriend’s passing, but her camp disclosed that she had joined Monteith’s family in mourning, and yesterday she and Glee creator Ryan Murphy headed up a memorial to honor the late actor for members of their showbiz family. It’s not immediately known whether Colfer attended.
Glee‘s fifth season is expected to begin production August 5, a week later than originally planned. The series will return on September 26 for three episodes, one being a tribute to Monteith, thens will then go on hiatus.

I thought it was interesting that during Jayma Mays’ interview on Jay Leno the other day, she didn’t bring up Monteith at all.

Cory said in more than one interview that he never hung out with Chris….Interesting…

@balehead: In the first season they did so many interviews together, you can watch them on YouTube. I’m sure Chris was referring to those moments.
Javer
@balehead: in what interviews did he say that?
fredo777
@balehead: They filmed a show together for years. Obviously, they must have been around each other sometimes.

Chris *did* attend the memorial. Iqbal Theba (principal Figgins) tweeted immediately following the memorial: “so glad I got to hug you today @chriscolfer.”

@Javer: He didn’t say it in any interview, let alone multiple ones. I don’t know why that person is going around leaving that comment. Strange.
That screen-grab is from their last interview together, taken during last season, and it was indeed awkward as the interviewer kept asking them questions about episodes they weren’t even in. Chris and Cory’s interviews together were always pretty fun. I love the one where Cory “interviews” Chris as Finn and Kurt/Chris is in his Lady Gaga costume, and the BTS interview where they are playing each other’s characters for that one episode, and Cory did Chris’ hair so it was just right like Finn’s.
I wish Glee would have explored the Hummel/Hudson family some more, as I always enjoyed their scenes together. It’s like they made them brothers and then they barely had any scenes together.
My sympathies to the Glee cast and Cory’s friends and family.

Drop it guys, c’mon now.

Don’t really care what Chris Colfer or Lea Michele have to say or think about Cory’s passing or anything else for that matter. I hope they are both gone from Glee next season; I might just watch the show again.

@fredo777: My opinion was frank. If you have an issue with it, then it is your problem, but you do NOT have a right to be abusive.
There is obviously nothing to be gained by continuing this conversation. You have been reported.

Too much online bullying on here….

@balehead: Also, too many crybabies.
