Australia’s bitchiest, most fantastic school girl, Ja’mie King, is going back to school.
Chris Lilley, the man behind Summer Heights High and the creator of the iconic character is returning to BBC Three for a brand-new comedy series, Ja’mie: Private School Girl. The show will follow King in her final year of school in her native world of Hillford Girls Grammar School. The six-part series will focus on the final weeks before King graduates into the real world.
“I find teenage girls endlessly funny. So being able to write for and play the meanest bitch in school has been so fun,” Lilley said. “I can’t wait to show everyone what Ja’mie’s been up to.”
King was first introduced in the series, We Can Be Heroes: Finding The Australian of the Year, and came back in the HBO hit, Summer Heights High. Meanwhile, Lilley was last seen on the mockumentary, Angry Boys, about the issues facing a bunch of dysfunctional teenagers.
