Because he’s doing his duty as a good Christian pastor, ultra conservative radio host Kevin Swanson says it’s OK to attend all those upcoming same-sex weddings — as long as you hold up a sign that states the newlyweds should be put to death.
The Colorado-based Swanson encourages guests to “attend the wedding and hold up the sign Leviticus 20:13 word for word: ‘If a man sleeps with a man as he sleeps with a woman the two of them have committed an abomination and they shall both be put to death.’ You could attend a wedding and hold up that sign.” So in other words, forget scrolling through those pesky online gift registries, just make your own with cardboard and a Sharpie.
This money-saving tip comes after Swanson educates listeners with a revisionist history lesson sound byte: “the Nazi Party had their birth at a homosexual bar in Berlin…This is what homosexuals do best and they will engage in their Pink Mafia effort to control and shut down businesses that do not cooperate with their agenda.” It looks like our secret is out, folks.

I always assumed it was entirely because of christianity, supported as THE core tenet to join the SS. Given the Nazi party was founded by a christian, supported by the church and used church funds and properties all over the globe.

@Charles175: @2eo: We should regard anything Hitler said or wrote in the ’20s with some suspicion. “Mein Kampf” of course was propaganda, directed at a certain audience, designed to get him into power. The same could be said of practically any speech he gave before 1933 or ’34. Later quotes tend to be closer to his *real* views (still debatable) whatever the subject.

The Devil reference is sarcasm that almost anyone, even an atheist – well, not you – might make. Churchill said something similar about Hitler. It doesn’t necessarily imply *literal* belief in Satan. (No wonder you hate “The Big Bang Theory”; like Sheldon you just don’t get this sarcasm stuff!)
Providence is not even exactly equivalent to the Christian “God” concept. (It is also a small but sinful city in Rhode Island with 6 or 7 gay bars and two gay bathhouses.)

The names and symbols have been changed, but the core values have just been given an American makeover and and a contemporary narrative written in English with center of it all moved to the U.S. It’s sad that so few people can recognize the similarities. I won’t be surprised if they were to burn down the Supreme Court building and claim it was done by the gay rights mafia in an attempt to destroy the Christian religion and force their kids into homosexual recruitment centers. Therefore everyone who doesn’t want their children forced into homosexuality and infected life-threatening STD’s need to round up all the gays. The sad part is that I think something like that happening is in the realm of possibility. A few years back it would seemed too far-fetched.
