The main attraction is going down June 18th, but there was plenty of attraction on display last week for Broadway Bares: Fire Island.
The one-night event succeeded in raking in a whopping $56,533 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, which awards annual grants to over 450 AIDS and family service organizations in all 50 states.
Never underestimate the power of people’s good will — or their taste for sinuous Broadway dancers slinking around in their underwear. Put the two together, and you’re guaranteed to get great results.

26 New York City dancers descended upon Fire Island Pines on June 3rd in a show directed by Michael Lee Scott and choreographed by Tammy Colucci, Abreu, Acosta, Davis, and Wright.
You can watch fleshly highlights from the event below, and remember it’s not too late to donate to this year’s main event on June 18th. (As of this writing, they’re at $487,363 of a $550,000 goal.)
