Newlyweds Colton Haynes and Jeff Leatham have decided to go separate ways after just six months of marriage.
Rumors of the breakup began swirling last week after Haynes deleted all the pictures Leatham from his Instagram page. Then on Thursday, he released a new song called “Man it Sucks (Acoustic)”, which recounts a failed romance after one partner cheats on the other.
Many speculated the song was about Leatham.
Well, it turns out they were wrong. In his his first statement since the rumored break-up, Haynes tweeted that the song is actually about “a past relationship,” though he didn’t elaborate beyond that.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Haynes called Leatham an “amazing man”, writing: “Jeff would never cheat. He’s an amazing man. Please stop being mean to him. The song I wrote was about a past relationship.”

Fans were quick to offer Haynes their love and support during his difficult time:
Very classy Colton. ?? No matter what’s going on, know you are loved by family and friends. Stay strong, you’ll rise above these tough times.

Despite pimping out his relationship to the media right at the beginning of its existence and then rushing down the aisle, I wanted to be sympathetic and I was. However, releasing a song about a cheating significant other a couple days after it becomes clear that you’re separated from husband- it’s just too calculated. And then you feign surprise when people assume it’s about him. Like I said, it’s either highly calculated or extremely naive.
The entertainment industry is made up of so many messy people.

^….yep. Same thought, Donston. …..despite it, damn I think Colton is just one of the most good-looking guys i’ve ever seen, and i don’t get tired of looking at him…..but yeah, his response is not believable and messy ((sigh))….

It’s not just people in the entertainment industry. I have a few acquaintances who put their business out there also. Social media has definitely made it “okay” to air out your dirty laundry; right, wrong or indifferent but I agree. Keep your personal business your personal business. There’s a reason why the term drama queen exists. Some people just love drama and attention ????
Donston
I’m not really talking about putting your business out there as much as I’m talking about uploading a song a mere couple days after people start thinking you’re separated from your husband (taking advantage of the headlines you’re getting), having that song be about a cheating ex and then coming off surprised that people think the song is about your marriage.

“I just divorced my husband after 6 months and released a song about a man cheating on me 2 days later – but I swear it wasn’t about him. I was writing a song about a past relationship while dealing with my divorce. Please be nice to him”
I call bullshit. Someone got cold feet cause he let too much of the truth out. There is prolly an NDA that he violated with that song.

Speaks out for the first time? He only leaked the news like a day or so ago.

Haynes and his husband (err-estranged) made a huge thing out of their
engagement and wedding. They went on and on about how Cher introduced them. How she was going to the wedding. The whole thing
was one big media frenzy. Now that they’re separated Colton is making a big thing of it. Other celebrities split up everyday. They don’t dramatize their
breakup. Haynes has turned out to be quite the drama queen. Enough is enough. Haynes and his hubby should get their divorce without bringing the
public into it.

Girl, bye. Waited several days after releasing a song about cheating and then all, “oh, no, it was about someone else” and deleting all photos of your husband from Instagram… Sounds like someone realized they’re not getting anything in the divorce settlement and Jeff was loaded.

Someone got a letter from a Lawyer……

Or had post social media post remorse probably initiated by a bit of depressed drinking. Poor guy.

Why do people think they need to update us when they have a moment in their lives? Share with friends and don’t put everything out there to satisfy your needs. I would venture to say it doesn’t help to strengthen a relationship when your main concern is how you can share this moment. Enjoy the moment and go to the next.

Jeff should do a follow up video of Carly Simon’s “your so vain” song.

Whatever the reason for their breakup, all he needed to do was ask any normal queen about their relationship. He would have been told this:
1. You don’t (finally) come out and then immediately “fall in love” and marry, Mary. Don’t even git me started that you had Kris Jenner perform the ceremony (no marriage can survive that).
2. When you continually post on Instagram how much in love you two are, and I’m talking DAILY here, most normal thinking people begin to suspect that there is trouble in paradise. In other words, we think the exact opposite. For you Bravo queens, a perfect example is Scheana. First it was Shay who became her husband. Then she immediately fell for Rob who had the sense to dump her. She went on and on about how much in love she was with each guy and everything was perfect in their respective relationship, etc. Every queen in the world knew both relationships would quickly fail. Colton and Jeff were the same. One could not post anything without the other having to immediately comment and express his love. It really was sickening.
3. Colton, honey, take a seriously deep breath and step back. Perhaps fall in love with someone who is not such a public figure. Keep most things concerning your relationship between the two of you. We, the public, don’t have to know everything.
I’m through. That’ll be $500. LOL
