On the 23rd day, September 2011, Austria met Conchita Wurst for the first time as she stepped onto the stage of Die Grosse Chance, an Austrian talent show, to sing Celine Dion’s power ballad ‘My Heart Will Go On’.
The judges and the audience had looks of puzzlement and amusement on their faces as the background music began. By the end of the song the looks became cheers and Conchita’s vocal abilities earned her a standing ovation from the audience.
