Flawless male human and alleged homosexual Colton Haynes, best known for appearing shirtless as the star of MTV’s Teen Wolf, the CW’s Arrow and Instagram, is potentially making a career pivot this week with the release of a new Josh Groban cover.
Eat your heart out, Cheyenne Jackson.
Below, listen to the confirmed triple threat — actor, model and now singer — wrap his lips around Groban’s 2003 hit single “You Raise Me Up”.
Now listen and imagine lying in bed next to him:
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

Way too flat and reserved. Josh Grobin does it with emotion. I’ve seen this song done numerous times with other singers and this by far was the worst.
friscoguy
This guy seems like a complete and total DB in love with himself and posing with your puppy to make yourself look adorable is beyond belief. Guess I can’t blame him, he is very attractive but still I could never love a beautiful man as much as he loves himself nor could he love me as much as I need to be loved so the attraction just fizzles for me.
lykeitiz
@Stache99: Agreed! He is lovely, no doubt, but this just sounds like me in the car.
@friscoguy: Also agreed! This generation is full of them!

Sounds like sour grapes boys. Why can’t queers support others? We always do our best to denegrate. Triple threat? Obviously.
erikwm
I read the comments before I listened and figured i’d agree with scru721mg.
But, no.
It’s good enough for church on Sunday, but not for a national audience.
He doesn’t have it.

With so many talented (and by that I mean, of greater talents than this man), why are we giving him airtime? Lose this one, and put up more of openly gay Sam Smith!
I am willing to overlook Mr. Haynes ‘gay’ past. I have the pictures saved, and don’t want a lawyer’s letter telling me to take them down. He has moved on, so should we.
If he is gay, and he wants our attention – the message should be clear – come out!
If not, then bye bye – we have more talented, better looking men to fancy – ones that have had the courage of coming out.
DuMaurier
Geez, not to add to the snideness, but when I see Haynes all I can think is, apparently there’s at least ONE Hollywood producer who keeps his drunken casting promises to the hustler he picked up on Santa Monica Boulevard.
To be clear, I find Haynes’ look and vibe really attractive. It’s just that show-biz-wise I wouldn’t have expected it to take his career any higher than, say, #1 viewers favorite on Fratpad.com
Bromancer7
It was lovely. You bitter queens are all delusional.
Stache99
@Bromancer7: Correction. Bitter Princess. My mother is still very much alive thank you very much;)
Evilklown13
Sorry Colton. Youre beautiful, but this song is supposed to exude emotion and I feel non in your rendition. Stick to doing Justina Beiber songs. Leave the power ballads to the actual artists.
ousooner1997
Nothing like judgements from bitter and jaded old queens, including the one that wrote the headlines. Jealousy is so ugly.
Stache99
@ousooner1997:Two of the most common put downs in the gay community is calling someone a Queen and Old. Like there’s something intrinsically bad about being effeminate and old onto itself. Usually says way more about the accuser.
Self hatred is also ugly.

I’m not interested in hearing you sing, I just want you to stay pretty so that I can continue to fap to pictures of you being super hetero and stuff.
Lvng1tor
God why is he singing? He doesn’t need to do this. He’s got a good enough acting career going, modeling and endorsements. Not to mention a pretty substantial and loyal social media following. I’m not a huge fan of the Instagram pretty boy but I liked him on TeenWolf and I really like him on Arrow.
He just didn’t need to try the singing thing. It’s a clear vanity project or poor paid advisers. Specially a Groban standard…..Groban is a stellar vocalist. It’s like Brittany trying to do Celine.
Oh well, let the cards fall… He has Arrow to catch him.
Plus one day when he does come out at least he wasn’t one of those douche bags who always got photographed with women and makes it appear he’s straight. The only pics you see him in are of other guys many of whom are out.

“Eat your heart out Cheyenne Jackson”…Really?
It was pleasant. However, if I were looking to get into the music biz, I wouldn’t want to start it off by being compared to Josh Groban. There are few who would win that battle.

I don’t watch Arrow or Teen Wolf so I couldn’t rightfully give an opinion on his acting but…
I’m not sure why he chose to do this song. His voice sounds thin, almost frail. There are other songs better suited for his type of voice.
DistingueTraces
I’m not going to snipe about the song, but does being a model actually count as one of three “threats”?
A triple threat is normally an actor-singer-dancer.
hotks23
He used to do musicals when he was younger: http://www.mtypks.org/friends-of-mtyp/alumni/

His “fourth threat”? Drag queen. Those eyebrows!
barkomatic
I don’t know why we have to hate a guy who is clearly supportive of our community. What a bunch of jealous, insecure gays here. If you don’t think he’s talented then don’t watch him sing or act. Really easy.
Stache99
@barkomatic: How has this closet case been supportive? Was he supportive when he had his lawyer fight a magazine showing an innocent kiss so people didn’t think he might be gay or is it just because you think he’s hot?
