A private memorial was held today to celebrate the life and career of Glee actor Cory Monteith and was attended by the series producer Ryan Murphy and Monteith’s costar and girlfriend Lea Michele.
“Today, Ryan Murphy and Lea Michele gathered the cast, crew and producers of Glee, along with colleagues from the network and studio, to share memories and music in an emotional celebration of the life of Cory Monteith,” Twentieth Century Fox Television said in a statement released to Entertainment Weekly. “We thank the public for their continued outpouring of love and support as we grieve our friend and colleague during this difficult time.”
Murphy previously revealed that the third episode of the upcoming season of the popular LGBT-inclusive musical comedy series will pay tribute to the actor who died tragically on July 14 from an overdose in Vancouver, Canada.

I still can’t believe he passed away. He was too young and I never expected him leaving us too soon. I didn’t know him personally, but I’m a big Glee fan & I loved Finn Hudson.
