Courtney Act’s ‘Boys Like Me’ Comes to the UK for Limited Engagement


After opening for Lady Gaga and starring in RENT, where she sung a duet with Idina Menzel, Australian Idol sensation and RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 contestant Courtney Act is set to premiere her acclaimed solo show ‘Boys Like Me’ in the United Kingdom. The five show, limited engagement is set to run 19-21 March in London and 31st March and 1st April in Brighton.

From an angry text from a straight boy’s girlfriend to the twins in Montreal and the US Marine, Courtney shares a few of her titillating encounters with story and song. This tuneful, hysterical performance showcases Courtney’s sharp observations of living life on the gender divide and illustrates what happens when boys like her.

For her British shows, Courtney has engaged Terry Ronald, writer of Denise Von Outen’s recent West End and touring theatre show ‘Some Girl I Used To Know.’ He also wrote the bestselling book ‘Becoming Nancy.’ ‘Boys Like Me’ will be performed in 2 of Britain’s most popular intimate live performance spaces, The Pheasantry in Chelsea, London and Proud Cabaret in Brighton.
