How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Favorite Gym: Equinox
Favorite Exercise Playlist: Depends on my mood and what I’m working for, but typically a shuffle play of trance/house, which helps with the repetitive beats to get that extra push or, some Sia.
Related: Nashville trainer Steven Shupe on how to reject shame and learn to love your body
Favorite Workout Food: I typically go for a light protein with a mix of sugar, banana and peanut butter is my go-to!
Favorite Workout Outfit: Everyday work out I go to my under armor shorts and jogger pants with a tank top and sweatshirt over and a baseball cap. I love layering which helps me sweat even more. And the cap to keep my hair out of my face and let others know not to come and have a chat. I like to get lost in my workouts and focus on what I need to do: sculpting that bod. And of course always a speedo for pool days!
What’s a basic, if useful, work out tip you can offer?
Get your heart rate up. We get stuck in bodybuilding, and my go too is to always get your rate up, be is swimming, biking, running, stairs, class work. Get that heart rate up and sustain it.
