He is soooo soooo sexy!!! And Congrats on his coming out! But he is not the first one. Here are the other gay wrestlers, one who committed suicide while struggling with wrestling and being gay.

So proud of him! From the way he revealed it, seamed it must have been weighing on him for a very long time. He’s definitely a catch. Any guy would be lucky to be with him. And the fact that he’s happy is even more awesome. If ever there was a reason to get back to watching WWE, now would be the time. Hope there’s going to be a storyline to it. If you’re reading this Darren Young (Frederick Douglas Rosser), your fans love you and we’re very proud of you!!!!

I so enjoy how he came out. I hope he has a long career with the wwe. Orlando Jordan came out as bisexual in the wwe years ago. You can find him on twitter

GOOD FOR HIM! I actually LIKE the way he did this…candid, unscripted, honest. No drama, no big press conference, just a professional performer, sharing his thoughts, feelings and beliefs – plain and simple!

Darren, you just saved countless teenage lives by making that simple statement. As an openly gay teacher and the first sponsor of a high school G/SA in Texas I’m deeply grateful. Kids are watching you and emulating you.

If only The Rock would join him. Mmph.

Not saying Rocky is gay, but if he were. I’d be all up on that sh*t. John Cena (who expressed his support for Young’s statement, btw) could also get it.

This is a homophobes worst nightmare coming true. Turning the carefully constructed stereotypes of gay men as soft, sissified and effeminate on its head. Making it cool, hip, and manly to be an openly gay man.

Bravo to Darren Young for having the guts to be a real trail-blazer.

    • hyhybt

@Kieran: For some of them. But overexaggerated masculinity is also sometimes a gay stereotype.

@balehead: I think you mean *straight*…..you have to be *straight* to be on the cover of OUT.

    • B Damion

@Kieran….yes! and this is possible because those same soft, sissified, effeminate gay men helped broker a wider acceptance of gender fluidity.
So yes..yes..he is very masculine and brave. a “REAL TRAIL-BLAZER”.

      How dare you. You jerk.

Seriously this is not the first time a fake westler from the WWE has come out as part of the storyline for the show! Sorry if some of you think it is all real, ok santa is real to OK!
If he is that is great and good for him for coming out the seriously WWE is followed by rednecks low brow low IQs and they do not have a history of be gay frendly so if this this real I would say his career is on sucide watch.
This is like the day after those royals in england had a kid this site posting a story saying the people in the UK would be fine if the baby grew up gay….the day after it was born…really what total bullshit!!!

Not where you’re concerned but ya, it does. You’ve never heard of Gareth Thomas, Greg Louganis, John Amaechi, Orlando Cruz, Wade Davis, Ji Wallace or Josh Dixon? Typical.

He is a very nice-looking man. A pleasant and upbeat outgoing personality. I believe that he would potentially make a very good “husband” for somebody as he has a gentle yet naturally masculine personality. This irrelevant of what ever he does with someone behind closed doors. I wish him the best in his lifelong endeavors. Even so I wish that all of us would abandon the words “sexual preference” and replace it with sexual orientation. For the word preference means to prefer and to prefer means to have choice in the matter. This where as being oriented this way is an immutable and innate characteristic.

No idea who he is and have no interest in wrestling but that is the right way to come out. No fuss, no big interview. Just when asked “Yeah, so what”.
