DNC Chairman Howard Dean yesterday called for the party’s superdelegates to make up their mind on the presidential candidates. Said the politico: “I need them to say who they’re for, starting now… [We] cannot give up three months of campaigning and active healing time.” Dean would like to have things set by June 3rd, the last primary, thus giving Democrats enough time to lick their wounds before August’s convention and the general election season. Barney Frank made a similar remark earlier this week.
Dean also took some time to say that John McCain’s not doing as well as he should be considering he’s the only Republican nominee. Nice to know at least one Democrat’s working against the GOP.
its time already, mccain is getting all this general election boost for nothing. drop the bitch hillary and lets get obama in the white house
While I agree with Dean and am not a fan of Hillary, that kind of sexist comment really isn’t helping anyone.
Obama is going to get crushed. Out of my close politically active Democratic and gay friends; all will vote McCain if Obama is the candidate. In Florida he is a 10+ point underdog to McCain. Normally I wouldn’t be happy about a Repub but Obama scares the hell out of me.
I love how people honestly think they have an exact bead on how the election will go if their candidate doesn’t win. Hillary supporters feel the “neophyte” Obama will get crushed by McCain. Obama supporters feel that “bitch” Hillary’s negatives are too high for her to have a decent chance.
Why not just recognize that nobody has a fucking clue how this election’s going to go and vote for the person you think will make the best president? Crazy idea, I know…
Jason wrote: “Obama scares the hell out of me.” To quote Dan Akroyd from Saturday Night Live, “Jason, you ignorant slut.”
You would rather have a republican win the election (after 8 years of the worst president in U.S. history) who will have the power to appoint federal judges including Supreme Court judges and who will continue (if not exacerbate) the disastrous foreign policy in the middle east.
People like you scare me.
Why did the Democrats even bother to have a primary if they didn’t want every Democrat to get the chance to vote in it? Dean needs to let the process play out. If Obama is going to be the nominee, he needs to get there legitimately or things will be even worse for Dems in the fall. Let the people vote!
Anyone who would not only exaserbate the situation in the middle east but destroy democracy completely here need his head examined(and your friends). I don’t like being rude, take it as a helpful suggestion, Jason.!
whoever told you that a low I.Q is better than none at all is mistaken.
I’m starting to get the idea that on top of not knowing the consttution, no one even knows how an election works.
Dean is sooo right.
I live in Indiana. We don’t even vote till next month. This may be the first time our votes will actually count. We never get a say so in the primaries because by May it has already been decided. Let’s have all the primaries early and within one month. That way it will give us more time to fight the Repug’s! Living in Indiana has always been like Michigan & Florida were this year.
Unless your very wealthy and I doubt that very seriously. Your vote for McCain will only hurt you and your sisters. As he will thank you and then FUCK YOU! And the TERROR this country and this community will face from McCain GAYS WILL NOT be inoculated from the horrific virus he will cast.
So do just that and watch you and your sisters get the worst of discrimination, and biases you have ever seen. And when it happens don’t run to HRC and other groups. YOU GOT WHAT YOU’VE ASKED FOR! Now sit back and love it!
Don’t be any DAMN fool. Because of your PRIDE it will kill your mind, body and soul. And this community as whole cannot afford it! And if you want then step out on stupid by yourself!
WE NEED A DEMOCRAT IN THE WHITE HOUSE NEXT YEAR WHOMEVER IT WILL BE!
VOTE RIGHT! LGBTQ!
