It really is the end of days!
If the famine, violence, rising temperatures and general sense of dismay darkening the globe haven’t been enough to rattle your hope for a bright future, this one-eyed “demon goat” sure as hell should.

This unfortunate animal suffers from cyclopia also known as cyclocephaly or synophthalmia which is a very rare form of holoprosencephaly. It is a birth defect characterized by the failure of the embryonic prosencephalon to properly divide the orbits of the eye into two cavities. Its incidence is 1 in 16,000 in born animals. Up to 1 in 250 embryos is affected by this disorder which almost always results in spontaneous abortion of the embryo. Humans and most other mammalian species are also affected.
Affected animals are usually born without a functioning nose which can be replaced by a non-functioning proboscis which many times is located in the middle of the forehead. Also, the mouth sometimes also fails to form and the animal will suffocate minutes after being born.
There are two known cases of Downs Syndrome humans who were born with cycopia which survived. The disorder is nearly always fatal, usually within minutes of birth but some animals may live for a day or two.
It is a very tragic and sad disorder, my heart goes out to this poor animal.

This is grotesquely fascinating, but I’m pretty sure that goat didn’t enjoy having it’s head yanked around while many cameras filmed it …

The other videos in this cache are equally disturbing. I think The Learning Channel is a freak show in the guise of sober documentary.

Hmm. A guy using both hands to show us a cyclopean wonder? Sounds more like ‘Goatse Cometh,’ and is equally unappetizing.

It’s a horse, not a goat.
